After months of stalling to pay my cashouts these crooks confiscated all my account funds!! Both sites emailed me at the exact same time saying I was guilty of Bonus Abuse. Bovada and Ignition are for sure the same company because I called Bovada and then immediately after Ignition, and got transferred to the same Poker Security team. I tried to get more details or any evidence of what I did wrong but they used BS excuses and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. All I want to do is warn everyone, be very careful with online gambling sites and definitely STAY AWAY FROM BOVADA AND IGNITION CASINOS!

So what happened to me was, my friend told me about a special bitcoin promotion Bovada was running where you can get 100% extra on your deposit. I deposited $250 the first time and lost quickly. I tried a second and third time and lost those too. Then on my 4th deposit I ran it up to $7k and cashed out! I was so hyped about my win and googled other casino bonuses. I saw that Ignition offered a similar promotion. This time I deposited $1k the first three times and lost. I was only going to allow myself to lose up to my $6k Bovada win. Again on my 4th deposit, I ran it up to $7.2k and cashed out.

The next day both sites emailed me that they needed to verify my account. I emailed them my ID. I called Ignition and they actually verified my account so I thought it was all good. I called Bovada and they said my account was still on hold while they reviewed documents. Over the next couple of months I sent in every piece of documentation they asked for. I called them several times and all they would say is to wait for emails with their decisions. They kept stalling and stalling until finally a few days ago they confiscated all my money, WTF! Like I said earlier I called both companies and they wouldn’t provide me with ANY EVIDENCE. Actually Bovada said I was abusing the bonus by withdrawing and re-depositing, when in fact I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED MY WITHDRAWAL!!! Just totally lying and making things up! They jacked my winnings AND my deposits.

DO NOT TRUST BOVADA. DO NOT TRUST IGNITION. THEY DO NOT PAY OUT IF YOU WIN. PLEASE LISTEN TO MY WARNING. THEY DO NOT OPERATE LEGITIMATE GAMBLING SITES!

I had a situation this summer with ignition where I won 40k and they confiscated the funds. The story is somewhere in the Bovada thread. I'm pretty active on a lot of poker forums and twitch and after a week or so of telling my story(clearer and a little less harsh then you) I was contacted by the security manager end ended up settling for about half the balance and I had 19k worth of bitcoins in hand a week later.

My situation was a gray area so I felt the decision was fair. I'm writing this because I was originally in your exact spot and ended up getting a nice chunk of what was deserved. I'm still not super sure if you abused their bonus TOC bc your post is a little confusing but if you know you didn't then keep fighting. Post everywhere you can but in a less aggressive tone.

I tried to be courteous and called them for an explanation but they wouldn't transfer me to a manager and basically told me their decision was final and there was nothing I could do about it.

I filed formal complaints with two other sites, but I want to prevent them from ripping off any other customers too!

i like your story and can actually see why they would prevent more than the first deposit bonus.

The big flag seems to be in your second post when you talk about filing 2 formal complaints.

this happened to other people. In those instances they just suspended and promos future and paid out.

OP, i would listen to pocket rockets, as it doesn't seem like a savvy business move to confiscate your funds if in fact you won them legitimately, however i cannot determine that from your OP. Best of luck though, I've had no problems with Ignition or back when it was Bovada, and I've never used the casino just for poker.


Keep us all updated on the progress, and maybe post some email correspondence so we can get a better understanding of what exactly occurred.

This just happened to me. I received the same email as TouchdownBen. There’s another person who posted about this on SBRforum.com with their story. For me, I started playing on Ignition on 12-14 and they disabled my account on 12-21. They made me send in verification documents which I did. Then yesterday I got the email telling me they’re confiscating my $4,204 account balance. From researching online it sounds like Ignition has a habit of using these excuses to not pay regular customers. It really makes me sick.

The only ones that don't get paid are the ones who just take it.

There's always some percentage(small) who just go o well and give up. I know I was doing everything in my power to try and come up with ways to pay me. Eventually I got a hold of Michael the security manager. He's was very helpful and well spoken from what I remember. Companies don't want to lose out on potential new customers from bad reviews of people who are loud and known in the poker community.

As a daily player on Ignition it saddens me to see a thread like this. Although I cash out quite often and have yet to have any issues like this. My withdraws do only range from $500-2000 but I have never had an issue with getting paid.(average 3 bit coin withdraws a month)
