I still haven't received my missing funds. It's "only" $31.50 in winnings from two sngs, but that's money that should be in MY account.

Hey guys,

A bit about what happened Saturday. There was an issue in the system that affected a large part of the players on the network which resulted in system downtime, players being kicked off the system, and players being unable to log back in. The network finds this unacceptable, and worked hard to fix the issue as quickly as possible.

As a result of this issue, several things happened:

Many players found that funds were not returned to their accounts right away. The staff has gone through all accounts effected and have returned these missing funds. If you feel that you are still missing funds, first, you should be able to compare your hand histories from Saturday to your ecash statement to verify. If you are missing money, please contact your operator's support so that it can be made right.

Also, many tournaments and sit n go's were effected. As a result, the Bodog Network's tournament cancellation policy (which I will post at the end of this post) was enacted, which resulted in some big overlays for players that were able to continue playing. As many of you have noticed already, these payouts were still guaranteed, and those players should have their funds in their accounts. As with the ring games, if you see that you have not been paid the money owed to you then you need to contact your operator's support immediately so that it can be corrected.

Once again, the Bodog Network apologizes to all players effected by Saturday's issues.

Ice

Tournament Refund
This will occur if the tournament has been canceled prior to actually starting OR if the tournament is canceled prior to one or more players being eliminated from the tournament.
In this case, all players registered for the tournament will get their buy-in and fees refunded (including re-buys and add-ons if purchased). All refunds are done in the exact same way they were bought. If you bought in with a Tournament Ticket then the ticket would be returned to you.

Cancellation with No Players in the Money
When no players are in the money and a tournament is canceled, all remaining players will be refunded their entry fee and then the prize pool is divided based on the following formula:
1. 50% of the prize pool is distributed evenly among all players remaining.
2. 50% of the prize pool is distributed proportionally based on chip count.

Cancellation with All Players in the Money
When all players are in the money and we do a roll forward, all remaining players will be refunded their entry fee and then the prize pool is divided based on the following formula:
1. Each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of cancellation.
2. The remainder of the prize pool is distributed proportionally based on chip count.
One-on-One (Heads Up) Sit and Go Tournaments
Because the outcome of a heads up tournament can be affected when one player stays connected while another does not, we reserve the right to do a chip count distribution if our site experiences a downtime that warrants the cancellation of tournaments.

Guaranteed Tournaments
If a tournament with a guaranteed prize pool is canceled:
1. When players are NOT in the money, the payout will be based on the prize pool composed of buy-ins only.
2. When players are in the money, the payout will be based on the guaranteed amount if the buy-ins fail to comprise the guaranteed amount.

Wish Bovada had been down like an extra 24 hours or so. Logged back in ASAP it went up and lost $30 (~25% of my BR)

Hey Bodog Ice,

Have you heard anything about problems with sound alerts with Bovada lately? For the last month or so, I've noticed that I don't always get sound alerts. It used to work perfectly, but now its sporadic, and sounds are rarely made to indicate its my turn to act or that someone has sat at my table and I need to post the BB or sit out. So, I often automatically sit out and get removed from tables when I'm by my computer but not watching it.

Any info on whether this is a common problem/if it will be resolved would be useful.

Thanks!

I wish someday theyd fix the glitch that unchecks the autopost after reloading. Thats the only time I wish I had an alert, beep!!!, your autopost has been unchecked!!!, you`re about to miss your turn and be forced to miss six hands waiting for the next BB!!! Of course, it wouldnt even be an issue if they just offered auto reload like every other site that isnt trying to scare poker players away, but I digress.

Yo Ice

Did you ask them why they continue to hide tables and not having waiting lists since becoming an anonymous poker room?

I'm trying to log in on the new mac client and it keeps prompting me with "Your login can't be processed at this time. Please try again later" over and over again. What gives?

IT DOES NOT BEEP LIKE IT USED TO WHEN IT IS YOUR TIME TO ACT.

basically it pops to front and has a quick beep. then if you click on another window it completely goes silent and doesn't pop to front again...

Same with this. If possible, can you please send me details about when you aren't receiving sound alerts (times, tables, player number)

I'm pretty sure I did.. but I have no problems about bugging them a second or third time

Right now the sounds should only occur on the table with focus. This was discussed before... and I passed along a suggestion so that all sounds occur at all tables.

Also really annoying is the bug where you can't add on chips if you win the hand you are currently in or chop a pot or whatever (basically anything but lose the current hand.)

I agree.. I suggested that they change the logistics to pre-software update so that you tell it to "top up to $x" instead of "add $x"

does anybody know when the next package promotion is gonna be? And what is it gonna be thanks
09-17-2012 , 11:35 AM
Hey guys, remember the issue where someone could use a program to see a players account number at the table? Basically, the "hacker" would be anonymous to us, but they would always know who we are. Has this issue been corrected? Thanks.

I haven't read through everything in this thread, so I don't know if other people have this problem.

It seems to me that Bovada has built in some form or randomizer for how long it takes before it acts - after you have acted. If I click check, or fold, or bet, it takes anywhere from milliseconds to 30 seconds for that action to actually happen. 1) I don't like this, but 2) sometimes it times me out for posting my BB when I have it set to autopost.

I can't really think of any reason for this to happen except that there is a random time element, and sometimes it goes longer than allowed. If this isn't happening to anyone else, it could be specific to my computer, but that doesn't really make any sense, either.

Has anyone else had this - and is there a fix?

Question:

Are Bovada and Bodog using the same player pool?

Thanks.

If you are consistently having this issue.. please send me whatever information you can about it: table, your player number at the table, where in the hand it happened etc.

Just a heads up norcal, when you reload it kills your auto post if you do it at the wrong time. So pay extra attention to the check boxes after reloading.
