Been out for a while -- Help getting back?

I used to be a regular player, putting in a few hours a day over at Party Poker. I tended to play 2/4 limit, and made a comfortable amount of money. However, I kind of distanced myself from the game and quit all together after Party started prohibiting American players.
I want to get back into the game, but I have no idea what the landscape currently looks like.
A few things:
1. I prefer sites like Party used to be, lots of players, but all else being equal, I guess I'd take increased profit over convenience.
2. I'm an American player
3. I used to play 2/4 limit and loved it, but I'm open to getting into the NLHE game.
4. Looking to play ~10 hours a week maximum.
So here are my questions:
1. How do American players fund their acconuts.
2. Which sites are the best for what I am looking?
3. How prevalent have bots become? and how juicy are the games? Have they really dried up after the Congressional legislation?
4. Any other developments since I've been out for so long?
Thanks in advance for all of your help.

anyone else?
After reading over the recent DOJ developments with the UIGE I'm curious as to whether the risk is too high or if it is even worth getting back into the game.

Stars and Full Tilt are the two sites with the largest player base open to US players. Yes the games are tougher. There is no risk to you as far as UIGEA, this does not make the legality of playing online poker any different then it was when you played. It does effect depositing somewhat but if you want to get money online you wont have any problem as there are plenty of ways. GL OP.

1) Won't answer, I'm Canadian
2) FTP and PS, that's about it
3) Don't be surprised to find bots at microstakes, but they are not running rampant. Games are much tougher than a couple years ago, but DEFINITELY still profitable for anyone that can stay ahead of the curve.
4) Just watch what's happening with the UIGEA.
The risk should be pretty minimal, unless online gambling is specifically prohibited in your state.

What were you in for?
Play has gotten a lot better, but I have no idea what the LH landscape is about. Just give it a shot and see if you can still beat it comfortably.

Keep in mind that, while FTP offers for rakeback new and even existing players Stars FPP program is also great. UIGEA should not be much of a problem, afaik it's mainly about deposits not withdrawals. Games are tougher as was said before, but not that tougher. Still more and more newbies are joining poker world esp from Europe.
