Hello everyone this is a Canadian related question sorta, anyhoo...
I won a large sum of money and my online gambling site that only offers cashout via visa chargeback, and was wondering how it works, and how can I take out my money from the visa?
I heard 1 bad story where some guy cashed out via td visa(I also use TD visa) and he tried to take the money out from his positive balance from his card and the bank teller he could not because the funds were from a online gambling site but I forgot the rest of the incident.

Answers greatly appreciated

I regularly withdraw to TD Visa. I don't believe it's called a "chargeback", however. That's something different.

I've done it many times, and I've never had a problem with it. However, I've never had a positive VISA balance

FWIW, I've also never had any problems depositing poker site cheques with a cashier at TD.

As far as accessing money on your VISA, you can do withdrawls or transfers from any TD ATM. However, you're limited to $1000 per transaction (even for transfers, but maybe that can be raised? Haven't thought to try until now) and it's considered a "cash advance" for which there is a $2 fee.

I remember that. He did it for a while, then the bank said he was only mostly using his credit card to withdraw so they put an end to that.

Use an ATM.

Do a small withdrawal as a test first.

I'm not sure really. Can't remember. I know I posted a response in his thread, but I tried searching for it so I could post a link but I can't find it.

This is pure speculation and suggestion on my part.

It seems like you're ok to withdraw from VISA as long as you don't run into an individual employee with a hate on for gambling.

The number one way to ensure this is to never deal with employees, only machines. Use the ATM!

Second is if possible avoid recurring positive balances. This actually may not be that important - OP in the other thread was doing everything possible to be conspicuous and stand out. He was operating in US funds and getting them to send him cheques.

Finally, this seems to be a problem with individuals, not policy. I've had credit card companies call me to confirm deposits to online sites and they've never said anything about it being a problem. So if you do run into trouble, try to escalate it past the person you're dealing with at VISA until you find someone willing to do their job.

Do you have a regular TD account? If so, you should be able to access you VISA account with your normal TD ATM card.

If you have a regular ATM card and your VISA account is not there, get them to add it. If you don't have a regular TD account, maybe you should open one. It's not like it costs money to do so.

The whole point here was to avoid dealing with people if at all possible, remember? Unless getting a cheque is automated, I'd either get a pin for the credit card (you don't need to tell them anything more than "I need a pin for my VISA so I can use the ATM") or access it through a regular ATM card.

I find it hard to believe that TD visa would give you any problems related to online gambling or anything else for that matter. IMO TD visa is by far the best visa to use. I've had trouble with some other visa cards when trying to make deposits. With TD however my statements show purchases made from www.fulltiltpoker.com . Can't get better than that. I also never use a teller and just use ATMs.

I've had about 40k on my TD visas at times all from poker. They just charged me a 2 dollar "cash advance fee" for getting the money off my visa and into my bank account.
