If he really is a "pro scammer" this shouldn't make too much sense. You think there is any chance hes dumping to friends of his? One argument against this is he played (and got crushed in) a few mtts, although (in my case) these only amount to $32 of the $200 he stole from me. Could be just playing a few mtts to not make it obvious hes dumping. Idk, just a thought.

I think it is really good news as it may make it a lot easier to identify him to the police, and help put him in jail.

This is never going to happen, he has stolen tens of thousands of dollars over several years. If we can get his real name and address and the poker sites can confirm it then he's going to jail because he's at least as bad as, and probably worse, than this infamous and now jailed scammer ball-bag http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...victed-338205/

No, he's freerolling your money at the highest stakes trying to make $$$ as quick as he can, he doesn't care if he loses it, he can always scam more.

His blog is here.

He hasn't updated it in 2 years, but there might be some info on it.

Didnt this guy go in for doing some shady stuff on craigslist? I hate to say it but I dont think the police will go after something poker related. Although I'm sure at this point hes done more than scam for poker trades. I think its a huge +ev if anyone can dig up something hes done away from poker and then after the fact all this will help show him as scum.

He's at least an adept. The duration and depth of his alleged fraudulent activities suggest to me that he choses to do it both as a source of regular income and a means to satisfy his need to play. Whether or not he makes a living wage I can't yet tell. My spidey sense tells me that he's not a high roller in any case. In the year(s) he's been doing this, he's probably figured out ways to get get some funds offline, but his recent play suggests that he's losing most of it.

I would not find it hard to believe that there are many more accounts used solely for chipdumping and all the other facets of scamming.

Looks like his name is Steve, from Manhattan. Could be possible he is from Queens too.

His friend Russbomb is from the Sheepshead Bay area, I found this by scanning through his posts. I'll come back when I gather more.

Looking at that profile page gives us this twitter link http://twitter.com/#!/deathbylight So that could be him, ****, or one of his musical group.

So this http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/DeathByLight/ is either him or one of his friends.

Great work if this is indeed who y'all are looking for. Its amazing what you can find in the interwebs after enough digging.

I am also not sure if the police will do anything since it's related to Internet poker. I hope they would tho.

Also I'm not so sure it's the best thing to post every update in this thread as you know for sure he is keeping up with this thread post for post. Might be best to send the info you ind through pms to the few ppl here trying to dig stuff up about this person.

Fraud is fraud. There's no doubt the police will follow this up, when presented with all the evidence. The poker sites will probably help, too, to demonstrate that they are anti-fraud.

I feel really bad for the victims, sorry to hear about the scam

One thing in reading this thread though: I think it should be the policy of 2+2 to not allow "sarcasm" in potential scam threads.

Getting scammed is a very stressful situations for the people involved, and having to deal with "sarcasm" doesn't help at all. It is like adding "gasoline on a fire" (adding stress in a stressful enough situation)

I've lived through black friday, UIGEA, neteller and many other well known stressful events for American players. And one of the hardest parts of living through those events was dealing with all the "lol told you poker was bad/evil/crocked" that I got from distant family members at family reunions etc. It was HARD not to pop off at some of them. I had the stress of losing tens of thousands of dollars, and all these *******s cared about was shoving it back into my face.

With that rant said...please no more sarcasm in a potential scam thread. It's not helpful and it's certainly not appreciated.

As I'm sure you all who are researching already know this guy had a ton of different accounts on stars. Going through his blog so far I have noted 3 different screen names that he calls his. You should probably give this info to stars to see if they can link the 3 together through transfers. Also should try and do this ASAP so he can't cash out his stars money if he has any

*

Ahhhhhh just saw my stupidity. He lives in us and if he had stars money it would be long gone. Maybe tho he wasn't able to cash it out. Worth a try I guess. At least u could stop him or ever playing again on that site.

Why wouldn't it be? This is quoted from his blog, including what he put in parentheses.

I wonder what happened to his friend who said he would try and get in touch with him?

This was the only other place that I was able to find the word Amaterasu.

This person, whoever he is, is a perfect candidate to be an internet scammer. Hopefully with some help, I will be able to put it to rest so that nobody has to get scammed by him again.
