Please stop congratulating players when they bust a tournament. Nothing more frustrating than that pop up saying 'congratulations on your 2nd place'

Looks like the change in rakeback has killed 888.

Maybe they'll be smart and bring it back, but I doubt it.

See ya on Borgata party site!

It might be impossible now, its roughly 100k hands a month playing 200nl. Playing 200 and 400 you could do this the last few months if you wanted. There was enough action to get in 3.5k hands a day at those stakes.

For everyone who had 80% being put into Platinum this month was generous. I think there will still be games that run this month, maybe enough to reach Platinum again. I think someone can do it but it certainly wont be happening again next month for a number of reasons.

First I think that most rec players will gravitate towards wsop or borgata as they are the names they know. LDO

Second, yes borgatas/party rewards blow, but lets compare WSOP to 888. On WSOP you can make Diamond for 3500 APPs (1750 in rake) which is 15% cash back. 888 you can make gold for 6000 status points (3k in rake) for 20%, almost twice as hard for only 5 more percent. WSOP will also then match your diamond status if you keep if for 4 months on your total rewards card. Big plus I think again for alot of recs, even full time grinders really.

Theres also more games that run at WSOP in general.

Lastly the freerolls that 888 are including as part of the tiers honestly I think are a joke. Once you hit silver you have the same freeroll to play as a Platinum VIP? Platinum should honestly have its own freeroll, and it should be for a substantial amount. Possibly have gold be allowed to be in on this one as well bc it might have 0 players for a Platinum only freeroll.

All in all if the games are still good, im still playing most of my volume here this month. Next month though I highly doubt Ill be platinum. My guess is the games will be drying up due to all the recs who had 80% and now 35% leaving, bc they all of a sudden realize they have almost nothing in RB and are loosing their shirts. Subsequently all the breakeven/mediocre regs will leave and there will be little to no volume to be played here.

888 if you really want to be THE place to play, kill the rest of the competition. Leave Platinum at 10k a month in rake if you want, but move it to 55 - 60% RB, and there will be tons of midstakes action here. There was decent action the past few months and thats with an 80% promo that not everyone knew about, the terms were unclear at first, many had deposit issues, and probably alot missed out. Make it so that anyone can obtain 60% as long as they put the hours in and youll get just about every midstakes player in nj. Bump gold to 25%, which would still beat out the top levels at party/borgata, be a clear advantage over being diamond at WSOP, and I think everyones happy.

888 would make way more I think by gaining the volume and giving away alittle more than by taking more away and loosing volume.

Well see what happens, and Im not holding my breath bc im sure the VIP system isnt changing, but I think it will eventually do more harm than good for 888 the way it is.

Good Afternoon 888 Rep,
I see your function is still located in GB because you tend to report to us in the middle of the night our time, first thing in a work day "across the pond".

Today is May 2nd. Has the Customer Service and Accounting Group for 888 New Jersey set up shop in New Jersey?

This is to comply with N.J.A.C. 13:69 O 1.2 (w). Customer service personnel who have access to patrons' confidential account information are among those subject to these requirements.

To 2+2 New Jersey Players,
Have you seen any difference in customer service since yesterday?

New Jersey accents over the phone?

E-mails that flow a little differently than they have these last 5 months?

Chat support that is in New Jersey?

Or, is it Status Quo and time to complain to NJDGE?

Can I get a detailed synopsis of the live withdraw policy? Tech support has been a mess with me trying to withdraw via ACH so I want to do it in person. Support told me there was a limit of $500 on my first live withdraw? Is this true? What constitutes my first withdraw? Can I just go up and withdraw the rest of my roll the next day?

You should check that answer.

Just called the 855 number to ask a question about Tournament tickets, received the friendly voice of a young lady in Antigua.

Does that meet the compliance?

I agree, if the top rewards level offers something like 60% rakeback, than 888 should have no problem becoming the top NJ site since the party/borgata rewards program is so terrible.

It is free to enter and you don't have to rebuy if you don't want to and it is still possible to win the game without doing so.

Most people are working during the week and can only play on weekends so this was the fairest way.

Sunday afternoon/evening, weekday evening? I'm sure the freerolls aren't structured like deep stacks that'll run into the wee hours of the night if they start at 8pm are they?

I mean I'm kinda writing these off as a non-entity in the program if I'm going to have to give up a weekend for them. Especially during the summer.

Sure you're going to run into to some people who work a little later during the week, but you also have people who work on weekends too. Or at least make them earlier in the day. Jersey people like their weekend nights during shore season.

I just PM'ed the following to 888Rep:

Quote:
Hello 888Rep,

This is xxxxx (screenname xxxxxx). I just would like to comment on the new rewards program that 888 came out with.

I was automatically put into the platinum catergory, which I sincerely appreciate. For that reason, whenever I can play this month it will be on 888 because of the 35% rakeback.

Beyond that however I will switch over to WSOP as things stand now. This is because the rewards program is a better deal for me and there is more traffic. Clearing 10K in rake with the current traffic is untenable. Even clearing 3K with how many games run is questionable. I see myself as a part time professional poker player. My family depends on the poker income I bring in on the side in addition to my teaching full time job.

Because of this I will be giving alot of action to a legal online poker site in NJ. But I do not have any emotional brand loyalty. I will play on whatever site I think maximizes my $/hr.

I hope your undestanding of my perspective helps you make the most informed business decision possible. Thank you.
I suspect some of you fall into the same boat. If you do I think its a good idea to PM 888Rep as well. We need to be savvy consumers and make WSOP, Party Poker, and 888 compete for our action by rewarding the best site with our business.

No, you should have gotten an email about the new status levels or just click on "888 Poker rewards" in the bottom right corner of the client.
