Ok. Let me tell you my story. I've been offered an exchange on 888Poker. This guy wanted to give me 200$ on 888Poker if I offered him 115 on some other site.

Thought for some time and anyway wanted to play on 888Poker and this sounded as a good deal. He agreed to started transfering me first.

The next day I get an email from 888Poker:

Quote:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

This is Francis V. from the Operations Department at Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Ltd.

Cassava Enterprises manage operational services for 888poker.
I am contacting you in regards to your 888Poker with username "reixg15".

During one of our routine security checks, we discovered on your account that you have been
receiving a vast amount of Money Transfers from accounts that are blocked in our system for
fraudulent activity. We can see that you have benefited highly from these transfers.

Therefore, your account has been disabled from use and all monies withheld. Please refrain from
opening further accounts owned or operated by us, as these too will be blocked from use and no
monies refunded.

Regards,
Francis V.

Hello,

This is unfortunate for me. All I can say is that the money received was an exchange I did with a person that contacted me. He offered me 210$ for a smaller amount on another site. I have in no way any connections with that person or his fraudulent activity. I just wanted to play on 888Poker and got scammed it seems. I do not understand how that person was able to transfer me money and still I am the one with the account locked and money taken.

Please investigate this as I have nothing to hide.

With regards,
I'm really pissed for getting into this mess and being such a trustworthy person. I can provide any proof they want I have no conection to that low life scumbag.

My worries is that even though 888Poker sayed account temporarly disabled in they're email it says my account is banned. WTF? Why am I being punished for they're mistakes.. Why was it allowed for that account to transfer me money????

So if I had a a lot of money on 888Poker practically is possible for a scumbag to transfer me money and loose my account wand everything inside.

That's it I'm pissed right now, mostly on me but 888Poker should investigate this as I repeat, I DON'T HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT PERSON except this time he offered me a trade.

Ty

Dont have anything to say about the current problem except that people really need to think before they make deals with unknows under conditions that are too good to be true... I mean...does it ever occur to you that this looks kinda fishy?

Or lets put it this way....when I get that offer the first thing that comes to my mind is NOT..."this is an awesome offer..great"....it is more like "why would anyone be so stupid to offer a deal like that".

I've told you I'm just to trustworthy. It's something I have to work on. Right now I will be happy if 888Poker takes that ***** scammer money but opens my account again. I don't like to be kicked like some sort of low bag scammer.

I did say it's my fault for doing this trade but 888Poker should investigate and not just give me a big FK U and close this.

Well...send them screenshots of the emails or PMs you had with the other guy...not sure what else you can do there and also not sure what you want 888 to investigate on this cause all they do is check if you played at a table together but even if you have not done this this will not prove anyting....I mean...in theory you can be part of whatever they have done and if its only cause you were the guy they tried to get the money off the site with...not an expert on this but really not sure what 888 can find out on the client that will speak in your favour.

Well yea. I want them to investigate and open my account. if they want to take the money so be it, my lost and lesson learned. can't send them anything if they don't want to check the story though and all they give me is "bye bye, dont want u as our client".

So you really only did one trade for ~$200??

Because this:
Quote:

does not seem to indicate only one transfer.

Sounds like you've received some kind of fraudulent money, and they are concerned that, or have assumed that, you're part of the fraud. Have they said they consider the matter closed, or do you still have the opportunity to prove your innocence?

BTW, you might be trustworthy, IDK, but this incident only means you're too trusting.

Lots of suckers out there. Not to be callous, but:
1. How often do you get approached by someone to make that kind of deal, and it turns out the guy's legit?
2. Even if you knew the guy for a little and you proposed the idea, why would anyone trade $200 for $115 and why wouldn't you question this further?
3. You're lucky it was only $115. Even for that amount, I would have contacted 888poker and discussed it with them (If I were to do this with a player, would I be breaching any T&C/ policy you have?/ has this player been known to participate in any fraudulent activity)--Worst case scenario= You get an annoyed CS rep whose rude to you and you save 115$.

It was 4 transactions. He shipped some, I shipped back.
I won't repeat myself. I'm ****ing dumb. Looking back now, yes this was handled very idiotic by me as I'm not new to online poker. The guy was like, yea u know I can't use MB bla bla so I really need money.

What can I do now? We all remember Primo and his story of being trustworthy. Are you saying if it happens for a person to be to trusting it is smth wrong and off whit him? I know we live in a ****ed up world, ppl crossing each other for a buck, but I always kept my part of the deal if I made one.

No worries, just thought you might like to know.

What I was wondering was where the matter is at now. They say your account is disabled - is that pending security checks, or is it permanent?

It says temporarily. I didn't received a response yet to my email. It does says it can take up to 72 hours to get an answer. I'm still hoping this will get fixed but don't know really at this time. Never been in a situation like this.

I'm just afraid they will say it will close it for good just b/c is easyer for them to take this route. If I have been scammed I can deal with that cause this isn't the only time I lost money this way ( even to close relatives) but I don't like the part were my name is dragged in the mud when I know I never did any shaddy stuffs and I don't deserve this.

he will be a cash dumper off a cloned card - he dumps money to a friend (you) and they win both ways. Man comes to you in a pub - I'll give you £20 for a TENNER? What do you say, Oh yes, give me £80 and I'll give you forty and its the pubs fault if they are forged?

What? Look pal this isn't the story here. I have nothing to do with that guy nor do I expect 888Poker to give me those money. I expect they investigate b/c I had nothing to do with anything that scammer did and I want them to open my account so I can put this behind. Really simple what I want.

The next day i was, let me check my 888 account maybe play some mtt's. ****......

learn SEO, start a website called 888pokerstealsyourmoney.com, include all the dubious things that 888 has done to users (search 2p2 for that, u'll find plenty), use your 1337 SEO skillz to get it to be the second link on google when searching for 888, enjoy your creation and laugh maniacally like this: MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
