2p2. I come to you asking for a 3rd person perspective about a situation that has occurred.

My friend and I decide to make a first deposit at full tilt poker and split the deposit 50/50 to try internet poker. Recently my friend cashed in a first depositor freeroll , without my help and the account is reg. under his name. I was saying that the money should be split , maybe not entirely 50/50 because he played the freeroll but that I should get a percentage. He is now claiming that he would have made a deposit at some point without me so he would have played the freeroll regardless and cashed and that he owes me nothing.

Opinions?

If you need any more information please ask.

If this is the wrong forum mods please move and I apologize.

LOL, nice. I doubt it'd make much difference though. FTP seems to like giving its players a lot of rope before they hang them.

To answer OP even tho you're a one-post wonder:

Unless you agreed to split further action on your accounts, your friend's correct in that whatever he plays, he keeps.

If you agreed that whatever action you had, i.e. MTT's, etc. would be split a certain way, then you have a legit grievance.

You don't seem to so you're outta luck.

Why do you think you deserve a "Cut"????

Did you agree to split any winning or LOSING prior????

Depends on what you agreed to do with any winnings.

just fyi since people might not be focusing in on it, i think the reason he feels some of the profit should be his is because the money was won in the first depositor freeroll, i assume you can only play in one. so his friend playing it meant he couldn't. or at least, that is basically the only way i can see that op would have any sort of argument that he deserves a cut.

assuming there was no agreement beforehand that profits would be split, i think you deserve nothing. you can play in the freeroll whenever you start your own account.

As he is obviously a good friend of yours, make a retrospective fair long term deal with him. Maybe each gives the other 15% of their net winnings at the end of each month for the next year? Each pays their own losses.

He "loses" by giving you 15% now, but he has a chance of making money if you become a bigger winning player than him, some months.

unless anythign was agreed i think you should get no money, each person should play with 50% of the bank roll and if u win you win that money, once u lose everything deposited ur bust
