I find these questions odd. Not necessarily what you're asking but that' you're asking and given some of your other posts ITT and general cynicism in these types of threads it's coming across like blaming the victim.
Assuming OP isn't behind the missing money... Most people don't know how to deal with these situations as it's not something that happens every day to everyone. It sucks. People in these situations need help. Helping others, that's what community is about. He may not know how to investigate much on his end and almost 50 posts into this thread there hasn't been much advice in that regard but a whole lot of suspicion and accusations against OP.
Imagine this wasn't a poker site but a bank instead. While you're on the phone with them trying to arrange a large transfer to make a big purchase the money in your account goes missing and nobody bothers to tell you. You ask them about what happened and they, who should have a lot more knowledge in regards to these things and access to information you don't that can help you tell you "The money was transferred to another account but everything looks normal from here. Not our problem. Case closed." And you see clearly things aren't normal... How would you react? I know that's one institution I wouldn't feel comfortable trusting with money again.
While I don't think a site is responsible for the money in all cases where an account is hacked they should have the tools, information and resources to help someone out in that situation. If they don't or choose not to, as seems to be the case based on the email OP shared, that's a good thing for others in the community to know.
I get it. A lot of times these types of threads turn out not to be what the OP claims. So what. What does anyone replying lose by trying to help instead of being accusatory? Nothing other than the ability to later post "Ha! I knew it!" So many people come here looking for help in one way or another. Everything from "did I play this hand correctly?" to "ZOMG THE INTERWEB STOLE MY MONEY!" While the cases where the OP winds up being some sort of scammer are small in comparison, they are usually memorable but isn't worth giving everyone the benefit of the doubt (including the sites) and trying to help better in the long run?
OP has a problem and I'm sure that a number of posters on here can contribute some information that might help him. Worst case scenario they waste some of their time if OP is full of **** but that information may later wind up helping someone else. It's not like OP is asking people to chip in and make up the money he lost.
