I've always liked following Shaun Deeb, but to try and hold Daniel to a string is the obv angle shoot here. Two pros sitting next to each other, and Daniel says something that is obviously a raise to anyone speaking english, and he calls for a floor.

The fact that people want to call a string at all in almost any situation that doesn't involved putting some chips in, then the betting player observes for any reaction, and then reaches for more chips, is always garbage anyways.

I thought Daniel handled himself well in the situation, and I didn't like the way Deeb came off. It was amateurish really. While I agree for the most part that there will be times that the floor may rule in favor of a string, the intent in this one was obvious, unless the editing didn't show something else that may have occurred.

One problem for Daniel was a slight change in verbiage when the floor came over, as I believe he may have changed one word in what he said. I don't play in any games near the size of what Mr. Deeb does, and I would never call a string unless the situation that I describe occurs where the player puts the money and and then gauges for a reaction, and how often does that ever happen. Rarely, if ever.

Looking at the motions of Daniel in the hand, he has the call in one hand, and the raise in the other. And while we often say that chips should be pushed out in a forward motion, it is arguable here that both his hands were moving forward, with one just ahead of the other. He never reached back to his stack for any more chips.

Deeb's intent wasn't to prevent Daniel from getting a read on him, it was to prevent him from raising. I hope Deeb isn't upset with this observation, as I said, I have really enjoyed following his play.

In general, calling the string itself is an angle shoot, usually against inexperienced players in small NL games. It is my feeling that a string should only be called on an opponent if they place chips in, wait a second or two, and then call raise or reach back and put more chips in.

Wow Ceasers Cup is so bad, they only get to play poker for 6 hands then its all-in PF every hand, what a stupid event.

I think guys like durrrr and stuff, how they do well is because they played different to get to that level and now that they are at that level they feel they need to play very sophisticated poker, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.My favorite is still ivey, he is the greatest imo.I think Phil Hellmuth is great for poker, he makes it entertaining which people who are not into poker that much enjoy more, i think it is great for the sport and Doyle is just being old school about because he was happy playing cards without the fame and stuff. It is a matter of opinions but i think it is a great thing

I can hardly stand to watch poker on tv anymore, but this wsope is excellent.

Did anyone else think it was hilarious when ziggy smokes a two outter all in on the flop vs David Williams and literally doesn't make an expression, move in his chair, or say a single word. Meanwhile, Williams throws a tantrum and snaps at the dealer for touching his chips lol.

Why did they change the format midway through the Caesers cup? I really liked the original way.

That Caesars Cup was a variation on the Ryder Cup.

Ziggy is awesome. He's totally ccool without trying. I was thinking the same thing about how he didnt' move a muscle. But when you consider the stakes he's risking in this tournament it's like dropping the money on a pack of gum. heck he flips coins for 5-10x of the buy in.

This was just a clear definition that Deeb was not wanting to get into a hand with DN after he tried to bluff him out of the last pot. IMO what are you doing with that 10 6 and that Kx?
