it's not what you drop, it's what you pick up that counts

I think you'd have to be more than just drunk to drop 10k in a month in a vegas 1-2nl game. Can't even imagin what state of mind that would take.

meh, i have fun doing it, and it's great stress-relief. better to lose it to poker players instead of blackjack, where i could lose a lot more a lot faster (and have). screw mgm-mirage; i'd rather circulate that money back in the poker economy.

It's easy, and you don't even have to be drunk. You just have to run bad. I've lost a thousand a day on weekend trips, and didn't even play all that long, maybe 4 or 5 hours per day. All you have to do is miss every flopped oesd, every flopped nut flush draw(or pair the river if you've made the nut flush already), and run every flopped set into a straight or flush. Trust me, it's not as hard as it sounds.

Depends. Sharks and regs tend to come out more when there's "chum in the water", weekends, 3-day weekends especially, NCAA March Madness, etc.

I believe Vega$Vic has answered this question numerous times now. All you have to do is to show up and $tack-A-Donk.

Sir:
Would you please let me know your itinerary of your next trip to vegas?
Perhaps we could meet at one of the card rooms of your liking?

Take my word for it, you do not want to challenge Mike. More than a few of the high stakes players (i.e. "sickos") occasionally drop down to play this nonsense they call "Drunken 1/2". They are not actually (necessarily) drunk, they just open shove preflop every hand (often against each other). Me? I'd rather play blackjack, but I appreciate the rationality of keeping it in the poker economy.

That being said, if you decide to challenge Mike in an actual game, you better bring more than a few buy-ins...

It's currently looking like (check casino's website) room rates are continuing at low levels. For example, at Imperial Palace: Jan, Feb and March 2010 are lower than they were in June and almost at Dec 2009 levels.

The bad players in LV may be much worse, but there are far more really strong players in LV than AC. Lots of very weak play in AC as well, imo.
