Before they started the construction project, there were often homeless people with fires in barrels burning. Not exactly a stroll you want to make once it gets dark and probably not even in daylight.

Before you spout off, do a little research and get your facts straight.
In the full 34 years that gambling has been legal in AC, no one, repeat NO ONE, could venture more than a block off the boardwalk after dark and felt safe.
When the sun goes down, the sewers open up and every type of vermin imaginable comes crawling out.
But don't take my word for it.
Just look at the 100 most dangerous cities in America taken directly from FBI statistics which includes murder, forcible rape, armed robbery and aggravated assault:

Atlantic City is 9th.
Las Vegas does not even make the top 100.

A lot of that scum seems to have found a way to populate that bus waiting room downstairs in Parx. Very odd that it can survive without taking change from boardwalk-goers
