It appears in the name of consistency (the exact reason we were given that the thread would likely be removed) "ongoing trip reports" such as this:

are allowed but Roundr's one was not. Nothing at all against the thread mentioned, just very curious why one "ongoing trip report" is OK but another (and an extremely popular one that has been mentioned all over here) is not? I wonder if Roundr was "GirlRoundr" then in the name of consistency his thread would have been allowed to remain?

this is so sick, they just wiped roundrr from 2p2 - what happened to simply moving a thread? seriously what is this? TT please tell us it is getting transfered to a blog and roundrr isn't perma-banned!!

Ya had I known that Sarah Palin was going to have that post deleted, I'd have copied it. It was gold, pure gold and now it's just...gone? Oh the humanity!

FYI - Google has some of it cached so it's not lost forever. And Google will keep it in their data center til several billion years after the sun explodes and swallows up the planet.
