River 9 ... loser, but interesting when I turned over the TT the table said "of course" ... and then I turned over the AK to get some more moans. GL

Which rooms pay BBJ on PLO games?!

I know that Playground does. (At least up to recently.)

Splash pots are great. The money stays on the table, unlike other promos where you can just put the money in your pocket. The money also gets fairly distributed amongst all the games, as opposed to promos that favor certain games.

I feel like starting an email list of S Florida players that would show up for a "Monday No Drop" promo day where there is no extra jackpot and no extra drop. Im sure if the list was long enough there would be a casino that would do this for a day to see how many tables it fills. This seems to be the most commonly loved idea.

I believe Talking Stick does BBJ for Omaha (do they run PLO? Spread limit only in Az?) but it's a different 'pool' of money (HE vs Omaha/Stud). So I guess they do it for stud, too.

I like going in this direction, but Im not sure that the math is there to make me happy about this. I think my expected value here would be less than most of the high hand promos that run down here. I feel like I can expect closer to $200 for every 40 hours but that is just my best guess right now. On top of that, the excitement factor is almost zero so this wouldnt seem to attract the fishiest of the fish. Most fish will lose more than $200 over those 40 hours so this is more of a promo for the sharks than the fish. Real sharks dont want their own promos they just want bait to bring the fish.

I would say, considering all parts of the country, that Seminole CoCo and Isle Pompano go at each other the most with high hand promos. Especially during tourist season.
And it gets people in the door.

Giving it some thought (not much), I like it because it doesn't (??) impact the "play". I mean, getting the high hand is what everyone is trying to do, right? Not getting their Aces cracked, or being in the lucky seat/table, or hitting some redonkulious bad beat. Just play like normal, and maybe luck into some extra cash?

I'm open to other interpretations, though.
Imo, the biggest impact high hands has is on KKx, AAx flops, when the full house would be good. Some folks will not put in an aggressive chip until they either fill up on the turn or see the river. Some metagame involved with certain opponents.

Also, one time I open shipped on a flop of QQQ when i knuckled Q2 in the bb. All turn cards counterfeit.

Yes, running deuces. Kicker from hand must play. At least where I played.

Duece kicker does play. Everywhere I have ever played if your second hole cards ties board your hole card plays. You have to play the best five card hand but where applicable you get to pick which best five cards

Where is this really ok so I know where to avoid playing. Would be very interesting to hear their explanation of why I have to use a deuce from the board over one in my hand.

PLO BBJ are all over the midwest. Usually TTTTx has to lose. Obv they go up slower and usually hit by 50k. Some Players find them a nuisance and it actually increases the RIT frequency so $2 goes back in the pot ... at least in my 'home' room. GL

Why would it increase the RIT frequency? BBJ only matter for the 1st board.

In this room if you choose to RIT the BBJ and all other promos are void on both Boards ... and the $2 goes back into the pot. RIT is pretty much the norm if asked for by one of the Players, but if a Player has a possible promo or 'wink wink' BBJ Board then they will refuse and only run it once 'this time'. (NL Players are not allowed to RIT unless 5/10 or above)

The RIT must be declared on the street the chips go into the middle. So if there's an all-in and two callers, but one caller folds out on the next street you can no longer RIT.

I had another two shots at the BBJ last week. Flop ATT and I have AAxx in BB. Bet Flop and get called. Turn check check. I tell the guy he's only getting $40 out of me as I check the River. He bets $70 anyway and I call ... TTxx of course. GL
