Right... No doubt I'd call, but there'd be a part of me tempted to toss him three black chips out of my pocket just so his first experience wouldn't be extremely negative. "OK, this one time is your do-over." Kind of like casinos give you one freeroll to get you to sign up for a card, expecting to make it back and then some.
(Then within 10 seconds I'd conclude that's being insulting, and I'd just say something empathetic and let it be.)
Not nearly as interesting, but once I see a a guy open-shove $200 or more at $1-2 from MP, I looked down at AA, and it held up. He had QQ and I guess didn't want to face tough decisions if an overcard flopped.
