Funnily enough; during the whole discussion one guy in MP2 was sitting there, stone silent. So the blind raise happens, folds to MP1 who calls the $10, silent MP2 reraises to $50, and everyone folds. He flips 72o. Took advantage of a good opportunity.

If I was in that situation, there is no way I would look at my cards. I simply would have capped my cards and said that I have acted. Acting blind is legal in every cardroom I have played in. Would have definitely tried to tilt TC more. Not to gain an advantage, just out of petty spite.

This was in a very unique card room. I think it has a reputation as being one of the ****tiest in the world. 10% rake capped at $15 for 2/5. Welcome to Brisbane, Australia. And we have the pettiness to go with it, as you can see.

The captain was actually holding up the game, wanting the "straddler" to look at his cards. It made me think that the TC was maybe afraid of what cards he might have, and wanted some read on him...? So stupid.
Wow was table captain over or under 56....I would have completely ignored his request and called over the floor if the dealer refused to continue with the action.

So I just get back from a game. Small stakes, $20 single entry tournament. 21 entries. Down to 2 tables and BB is 400, UTG calls, UTG +1 AND 2 call....im next to act. I look down at AQ and ship it for 4500...figured I could just take down the blinds and then UTG says "uuugghhh......this is a gutsy call I guess, hope everyone wishes me luck!"

"EVERYONE WISH ME LUCK!!!!"

So when she gives me the crying call "COREY ZEIDMAN" speech if you will...I figure she must have A 10 or A 9 suited, something marginal and I have her covered and she rolls over KK. She scooped the pot and said "Wow that was a gutsy call on my part holy crap I was nervous". She does seem somewhat new to the game and I just said "you had KK, the 2nd best starting hand in holdem...nothing gutsy about that". I was kinda mad because I felt slow rolled but she seemed excited of course and wanted to high 5 me....which I GRUDGINGLY obliged lol.

THEN after that I was down to like 2200 in chips, bb is now 800. I kept chipping up to 7200, 6 handed Im UTG, I wake up to 77, so I raised to 2400, BB calls, BB has about 10,000 stack. Flop comes 6 6 5. He bets 3000, i ship whatever I had left, played quite a bit with this player and he likes to steal pots like that and put him on KQ before the flop. He rolls over KQ of course and I have my 77...turn comes a Q and river 10. Un BLEEPING believable.

I'm half pissed off right now, felt slow rolled in the AQ vs KK hand and this guy went nuts with king high. Kinda funny since my name is SlowRollTheNuts lol.....even though I don't slow roll.

I left there thinking what the F just happened....I was playing the best poker of my life (IMO haha)...kept putting players on their hands and making timely bluffs ect..
lol oh well. Small stakes problems hahaha. I have a $60 home game later on, hopefully that one works out better.

(He looks about 56yo, actually!) Here's the crazy part, which I'm still confused about; he of course got the FM over and somehow the FM looked it up and verified that technically a player must look at their cards before they raise (or bet, I forget). The FM said it's a stupid rule which is not usually enforced, but the TC was being such a dick about it, they enforced it.

Surely that rule is bogus; therefore I could not look at my cards, shove the flop, and if called I could say "no I haven't looked at my cards yet, check the cameras" and the hand would be forfeit.

ya i was more enjoying his suffering, like taking a $20 tourney so seriously, the woman slowrolling him was great and i truly hope it was somehow intentional.

I personally was impressed that in spite of the massive field of 21 entries they were all the way down to the final 2 tables.

The following won't be weird or funny to anyone but me... Playing a $100 rebuy last week. A guy donks off 1/3 of his stack 3 times in 20 minutes (15k starting stack, 25/50 blinds) ... he rebuys and is on my left and UTG his first hand back and shoves his 15k (I'm now BB for 100). Everyone folds. I know he's playing any 2 random cards and I call with KQs. He flips over 9-3.

There's a K on the flop.

The turn was a 9

The river WASN'T a 9 or a 3.

How would betting pre dark be any better than betting or checking dark on the flop (which happens all the time at all levels)? I would be surprized if RROP of TDA had a rule that you couldn't act dark pre.

Hmm wonder if the supposed "rule" specifies which side of the cards a player must "look at"?

This is a terrible post and you should feel VERY bad for putting it in this thread. Two stupid standard "bad beat" stories in the weirdest/funniest thread. Nothing remotely weird or funny about the contents of that post.

All the way down to two tables from 21 players, huh? The atmosphere must have been electric.

And you weren't slow-rolled.

Well based on fm response its safe to this guy is probably a losing reg and they wanted to keep him happy( and im sure this wasn't his first rodeo in bringing up that rule) what a loser btw.

Today on a 1/2 im in seat 6 and villain comes into seat 9 short of the $50 min. I request/ask the table if he can come in short, one player may know him and was suggesting not but I make it clear hes welcome and hes allowed in for 40. So within a few minutes seats 7, and 8 leave. villain moves over on my left, even though he was already in that position minus empty seats.
Over the next few minutes he keeps inching in on me, rubbing elbows even though the table is empty to his left? Im confused and eventually I ask him to move away a little bit. He starts calling me a jerk and I was agreeing, but he would not move an inch. He busted out a minute later and then the table started calling each other jerks as an inside joke...

A couple of weeks ago playin 1/2 at the Harrah's in AC:

I have QQ on a xQjjx board (don't remember the other cards) I got value on flop/turn and bet a decent size on the river. Seat 1 calls - loses the pot. Now the weird part: He immediately gets up tells the dealer the rest is for you and walks away.

After the dealer shipped me the pot the guy would have had over $120 left. It was crazy, the dealer was scared of taking the money, so we called the floor and every player confirmed what the guy said, eventually floor allowed the dealer to keep it.

There's a reg at Borgata that tips big when he wins and even when he loses.

Hero sat at our 1-2 NLHE table for 1 hand, went all in on the river, villain folds, hero mucks and tells the dealer "its yours", get's up and walks away.
Floor gets called, players confirm story to floor guy, dealer scoops $300+.

Tall white guy about 6-3, mullet, all black yankees gear, several gold chains. Not a guy you want the see standing behind you at the ATM. If you're a reg at the Borg you've probably seen him.

There's a funny story about this guy in a hand against PH. Railbird yells something encouraging PH to bust this guy. Dude hears it turns around a says to railbird, "I'm going to find you and stuff you in a trunk". lol
