Now that's what I call "PR friendly" service.

Vegas does have more "stuff" to offer; but, if OP's wanting to stretch his BR and play poker, then the comps and room rates cannot be beat at the Shoe in Tunica. (Nice rooms less than $50/night, all food and alcohol are free.)

$15 game still goin' Todd?

AC might be a good idea with such a short roll - since it's close, you can keep travel costs to a minimum (maybe even take a bus?).

Are the poker room rates still being booked at F.K.A The Grand? What is the new name? Harahs tunica or something like that?

The poker room rates are at the the Terrace now... which is bretter than the Veranda. It's a much nicer hotel that the Veranda. We can still provide 24 hour transportation from the Horeshoe to Terrace. At least I will while I'm on the clock. It is a Harrah's hotel.

Last trip I stayed at whichever of the two is on the left as you drive in from the casino. I think it was the Veranda. I was rolling solo so the room was fine. I got a smoking room and it was nice to be able to sit in a comfortable chair, watch some TV and smoke a good cigar.

The only reason I asked is I really like staying in the same place I plan to play.

Oh my god people. This is so easy.

Vegas.

Southwest. Via southwest.com. Expedia/etc do not provide Southwest flights.

MGM. Or Mirage. Or TI. Or IP. Depending on how nice you want a room. Best VALUE is probably MGM, as they are begging for people in their rooms. PM me and I will forward every e-mail I get with room offers (usually 2-3 per day).

You MAY be able to get a better rate by calling the poker room, but not by much. Room rates tie you into a single room for the most part, as well.

Play MGM for fish. Venetian for quality. Mirage for the old school experience. PH for the easy tournaments.

Get drunk. Have sex.

Return home happy.

How would you characterize the Bellagio 2/5 and 5/10 NL game these days?

Didn't play NLHE at Bellagio when I was there last (August). From what I've heard, it varies quite a bit. (Probably more than other rooms?) Probably softer than Borgata if you're an east coaster.

Vegas Sounds great but I'm not a big traveler, as you can tell. Please Help if possible. And ty every1
Yes, do the flight on southwest.com then the hotel separately. I second Zoltan's suggestion for MGM for the hotel also. Mgmgrand.com.

once you land in Vegas, how do you get from airport to telly?? would a cab be to best/cheapest option? I heard some places have a walkup limo service for around $50 but I'm not sure???

I would recommend Las Vegas. Travel is cheap right now and if you search the right places, you can get some good deals on airfare and lodging.

1) Las Vegas has plenty of rooms for you to choose from. Do not just play in 1-2 rooms, play in 10-12 rooms.
2) Lots of sights to see in Las Vegas.
3) You would not be the first person to go to Las Vegas and not come back.

In Vegas, other than Taxi, how do you guys get back and forth from Airport? I think I might have read something about a walk up Limo service that cost around $50 one way but I'm not sure. Which would be cheaper, this or a Taxi one way?? Any other options?
I also heard there's some sort of Amtrack that goes from one end of the strip to the other but doesn't go to the Airport, any1 know anything about this thing?

You are now in the land of Vegas minutiae. I suggest for these sorts of questions openvegas.com

But: if you're staying on the strip, cab it back and forth to the airport. Shuttles are cheaper but SUUUUUUCK. The tram is moderately convenient but you'll stilll be walking a bit (it runs along the east side of the strip, goes nowhere near the airport). The "deuce" is the bus that runs up and down the strip. It's cheap, but it's a bus.

If you book a flight to Vegas, you can also reserve a shuttle to any hotel at the same time. I believe I paid 15$ last time, grabbed the shuttle outside the airport, and was at my hotel in 15 minutes. To return, I just called the shuttle company and they came to the hotel.

I never rent a car in Vegas: if I want to go between downtown and the Strip, I just take the Duece bus, 5$/day FTW.

We have 5 rooms total at the shoe. Buddy still shows up once in a while. Hell, if you know he's going to be there it's worth the trip. :-)

A cab from the airport to the strip will run you about $16-$18 or so, and that way you can be sure you won't end up being the last stop of 8 hotels (as happened to me the first time I went to Vegas. I paid $6 for the shuttle, but it took an hour to get to the Mirage, which is just silly).

Avoid the airport shuttles like herpes. Cab it to your hotel, first words out of your mouth should be "no tunnel." Cab it around town if you need to, otherwise use your own two feet. They sort of have a monorail that goes between a handful of properties but it genuinely sucks. Someone will eventually tell you to take the Deuce up and down the strip (its a bus); do that if you hate yourself.
