Yes it did. I was responding to the poster that said he still lost when someone told him he had it, he showed his hand, and then lost to a better hand.

I thought op tried to angle fold but didn't as said you got it and hoped villan would turn over so he could fold. I think op tried to angle after the fact by calling floor. Dealer mucked ops cards because said you got it. Next time don't say you got it if you plan on showing cards just muck . If you plan on showing then don't say you got it. Otherewise you angling babby.

No you're not. You're saying he has the best hand and hoping he just turns over so you don't have to show your trash. It happens all the time. The real of the story is protect your hand

Op could have mucked his hand if he didn't want to show it when he got called with five high by that argument. Op was then angling by trying to have villan show out of turn so he could muck.

Seems like the casino screwed up here. However trying to get the other person to show first when you're first to show is an annoying thing to do.

It happens all the time. Doesn't sound like OP even slowed the game down which is what usually happens. people regularly break the showdown order when it becomes clear who the winner is. Op tried to get off without showing it, saw it wasn't happening, and then tabled his hand. Villain is lucky OP tabled the nut low because if had been in his spot and had tabled 9 high I'd be screaming bloody murder

It depends. If he says "you win" and you muck your hand, you win. If you don't believe him and want to show you may or may not win.

Pots yours - PERIOD.

It takes 2 cards being shown to win. If thats not the policy in that particular casino, then that casino is one i would NEVER play at.

Your bad play has nothing to do with the fact that its YOUR POT.

probably 50/50 depending on how many people I know at the table.. amongst a bunch of regs, I'll just say "5 high" and extend but not release my hand towards the muck.. against unknowns, I'll just table it and not say a word, cuz who knows, they might muck.
