The Venetian is friendlier towards the low and middle stakes players.
There is plenty of room between the tables at The Venetian while Bellagio tables are squeezed together.
There are great dealers at both venues. I happen to feel Bellagio has a noticeable edge in this department.
The Venetian floor is more courteous although there are a few Bellagio folks in the middle level who are unsurpassed.
I like the chip runners at Bellagio.
I prefer the company of The Bellagio regular players, especially the day shift, over The Venetians.
Bellagio wins on people-watching ambiance, especially on the weekends in the $5/$10 corner.
My head voted for The Venetian, but my heart belongs to Bellagio and the North entrance valet parking is a very convenient in-and-out for those of us coming from Henderson.
The Venetian is definitely trying harder and winning from a hospitality perspective.
Competition is alive and well and I sometimes wonder if The Bellagio is even looking over it's shoulder.
Last year, one of the older dealers at Bellagio made the prescient remark that if the action in Bobby's Room faded away, the center of gravity of Las Vegas poker would become The Venetian.

My own personal experience is that after they have seen your face a few times you get treated quite well at the B.
They tend to treat you well the first time you walk into the V.
Why do you think it is that the Bellagio would treat newbie's this way? I mean, it seems to go against the general rule of thumb, especially in a struggling economy, that customer service is the way to keep and add new customers. Especially if you are a tourist and don't know vegas that well, first impressions are everything. Idk, just seems strange to me. Anyone agree?

Agreed - even more perplexing is the flatscreen that they have set up outside of the entrance. You know - the one that's got the games they're spreading burned-into it. Why they wouldn't utilize that to list players is beyond me - I'll have to assume they sometimes let people skip ahead and don't want it too obvious.

My answer is Caesars. I can't understand why anyone would ever want to play at the Bellagio, and the Venetian smells funny.

Of course the main reason to play at the Bellagio is for the spread of games they have, but why are they only room to have that wide array? That is what I don't understand. The room is so crowded and small. Couldn't they have good game selection somewhere else, somewhere comfortable?

Are you serious? Caesars isn't even 3rd. The room started out great when they brought it back but it went down hill and is terrible now. Their floor is far ruder than the B, worse action, and they have many inept dealers.

I spoke to one of the good dealers they had and found out it's even worse to work there. She said she quit her full time job with benefits to take two part time shifts without benefits just to get out of there (one is at V).

It could be like the clock thing at casinos. You never see clocks inside because they do not want the guests to know just what time it is. Bellagio may be thinking, "If they do not stay on top of getting in a game, they do not want to be in the game to begin with." or something. And maybe gets "the fish" to play more house friendly games like slots, Pai Gow, Roulette. Not defending it, just dishing input.
lol at this. the only reason they don't have an electronic list is so that people will tip the floor people/pitbosses to get a seat faster. v is 100x better than any other casino ever.

Its not like its a company policy written onto the manuals that you treat people badly.

This has developed over time and those who are a part of it can't see it.
