Tournament Players, would you be fine if the vig increased at a certain player milestone? Tournament Players, would you be fine if the vig increased at a certain player milestone?

The issue is tips ... Tournament tips are pooled and I'm assuming that less than 5% of the field (if even that much) tip. I'm not even sure if most tournament players know how to tip. GL

In that case just pool the tournament tips together with the cash game tips.
My understanding is that tournament tips are covered by the staff fee that almost every tournament has now. Just combine this with the tips from cash games and pay each down equally.

This just might be the worst idea ever.

At least to my knowledge, tips are not pooled in cash games in poker rooms the US. Every dealer keeps the tips that she receives from players.

That is entirely room dependent. Some rooms pool poker tips, but most do not.

There are still some 'hold overs' where the tips get pooled with the pit dealers at casinos .. and also a couple of charity rooms where tips are pooled as well. I tip better when I know 'exactly' where the tip is going.

'Temporarily' pooling tips during a tournament would probably be a logistical nightmare during periods of time when the room is busier than normal to begin with. GL

I worked in a room that did this during the big freerolls. Not logistical nightmare...just stupid. The did it because the tournamwent tips were better than the cash tips and some dealers got upset when they didn't get as many tournament downs.
