I still don't like Tony G, he's a self-centered fool that keeps seeking attention while playing poor poker.

He's entertaning if you find players like Humberto Brenes and Jamie Gold entertaining. In this case it appears to just be a case of using Robl's taking forever to shout out to the TV world "I'm still relevant!".

As an aside regarding table manners, listening to him root for Fishy against Hellmuth ("an ace from space!") made Hellmuth's two outer and Devilfish's meltdown even more enjoyable.

The one thing that separates Tony G from Helmuth, Devilsfish and other various douchebags is Tony G gives plenty of action. Most of the better players like playing with him because they know they're going to be in big pots and the chips will be flying. Tony G is hilarious usually, and most of the time his targets are deserving of his rants. Sure he can take things too far and he can be a pr*ck from time to time, but usually from all I've seen he makes the games much more interesting and his tactics usually work pretty well to achieve maximum chip extraction from said targets. I'd much rather watch Tony G than Helmuth being a whiny b*tch, or some boring nitfest.

Tony G is entertaining to watch, only because he can cause other pros to tilt and tilt hard. He usually extracts a good amount of value from his hands because a lot of times other players chase him and play marginal hands that they would not even think about playing against other players. You add to that the fact that he usually gives and gets lot of action and it is easy to see that he is one of the most entertaining and yes cunning players in poker today. I don't approve of how he approaches the game at times, but it has been effective for him over the years.

As far as Robl goes, he and Dwan often get ripped by other pros because how long they take to act in hands. If you watch the online coverage of WSOP HU event last night, Dwan and Robl were mentioned as two of the players that the announcers and other pros hated playing with because they often times take too long to act during hands.

If you think Tony G was out of line with Robl check out what he did to Ralph Perry:

He abuses dealers way too much, but Tony G is entertaining to watch. Too bad he goes too far with his jibber most of the times.

If he keeps it fun and light hearted, then that's gr8 for the game and to watch but he always gets too personal.
