It's a combination word like outdo or outwork, meaning to roar better/louder/longer than someone. You out roar them. I doubt that is what OP intended, probably uproar was intended, unless it's some new board slang I don't know about. I've seen it used as a kind of made-up combination of uproar and outrage, maybe that's it....

She said she was "short" and the blinds are going up. She had 50 big blinds at that point. She wasn't short by any means, just being an ass.

Why Tiffany Michelle gets called a bitch for calling the clock in that hand, I have no idea.

People throw out stuff like "WSOP Main Event $9 million on the line, how can she call the clock?!" or "She had 50bbs that's not that short!" or "She wasn't even in the hand what a frigid bitch!" The thing is, though....it's a tournament. Tournaments are different than cash games in one key respect: there is a time element involved. You have a limited amount of hands to accumulate as many chips as you can.

If they're in a cash game, maybe there's some small argument that she should stay out of it. In a tournament, there should be no question that she has every right to call the clock. She has every right to do it, it is in no way a breech of etiquette, and if I'm her in that spot, I call it every day of the week and twice on Sunday, and this is coming from a guy who has never in his life called the clock on anyone.

Yes, she has every right to call the clock...but besides the RULES< there is something called ETIQUETTE...and etiquette dictates that one needs to seriously consider, what stage of tournament is it...what kind of a hand is it, is the person all-in or not... is he playing for his tournament life or not...are there a lot of chips involved vs. if someone has no chips...how many times has this person done it...how long has he taken...etc.

given all those factors, it was very inappropriate of her to call the clock...having said that, I plan on calling the clock several times on John Phan during LAPC Main Event, if we end up at the same table

Given all of these factors:

1) It was deep in the tournament.

2) The guy was to my knowledge taking a long time.

3) He was getting 5 to 1 (as opposed to someone shoving 4x the pot on the river or something) which means there is no good reason for delaying a decision.

It is therefore within the bounds of etiquette for her to call the clock.

Again, this is coming from a guy who has never called the clock on anyone before.

1) the deeper in the tournament, the more latitude you give to players, not less...

2) Paul had not taken a long time...if you want to know the meaning of long time, you should play with Gus Hansen and John Phan..

3) getting 5 to 1 or 15 to 1 means little, when you're talking about an 11 million chip pot that will either get you to the FT and possibly very close to $9 million, or will slide you down the toilet and leave you with no chips to play...

I've called clock in tourney's and cash and in that situation I would not have called the clock unless that person has already been in this situation multiple times. Nobody said she didnt have the right to it but that doesn't make it any better. Probably the biggest decision of his life up until then and you think 5-10 minutes is long? The last thing he's thinking about is pot freakin odds. He's not risking just the tourney he's risking his 15 minutes of fame, his possible endorsments, the possibility of donking his chip on TV. What the hell is wrong with you people? Put it in context.

dram situation in every tournement, right? it's late in the tourney...lots of chips at stake, you can knock out a cocky/arrogant player, and you are dealt AA and she has Ax and you flop top set...hope this happens to me at LAPC Main Event this week
