Hey guys,

I did all the searching and got all the standard Niagara info: Seneca too tight, Casino Niagara too old, Fallsview limits too high but fishy play.

I know that games supposedly have tightened up since 2yrs ago but I am wondering what the current state of the games is. I figure since its summertime and there is a lot of tourist traffic that games may be better than typical. I am staying at Seneca so any info on it would be especially helpful.

I just came back from Niagara Falls so I will do my best.

Sat night and my wife and I spend a good portion of the day visiting Niagara Falls, ON "hot spots". Typical touristy stuff.

After dinner than night it is ~8 and my wife says "if you want to go play poker you can" and I am "ldo". I went online and did a Google Search for Poker Niagara Falls and get the skinny. Fallsview has 2/5 NLHE and up. Casino Niagara has 1/2 NL (+) and Seneca has 1/2 NL (Both 100 max and 200 max) (+). I am staying relatively close to Casino Niagara so I decide to take a look.

Now, my "poker roll" consists of a few Benjamin Franklins tucked into a spot in my wallet the wife does not know about. (I think anyway) I walk to the Casino and find a HUGE waiting list for 1/2. Like 60 names. strike 1. I go over to the chip window and ask what the conversion rate is. The gentleman behind the table says they will be happy to take my American $$ 1 for 1 for Canadian $$. (The conversion rate is about 1:.95 currently).

I then ask, what about converting back? He says they $1 American for each $1.06 Canadian. I think, if I only break even, I am paying $12. Not tooo crazy, but, that combined with the wait and I decide to take the walk across the bridge to Seneca.

I sat @ a 1/2/200 table for about 3 hours and had no eventful hands as I was pretty much card dead and finished up $19.

Seneca's rake is a bit much. I think it is $3 or 4 on the flop (BB+rake) so, even small pots are raked pretty big. Casino Niagara I think is a more traditional 10% rake, but the conversion rate bites into your winnings, too.

Anyway, I had fun and my table was pretty wild with some big all-ins on straight draws and one or two guys stacking off pretty regularly with TP. There were a few regulars @ my table who knew all the dealers and each other. Some were better than others.

Your mileage may vary, however.

Good luck.

Thanks. Great report. Would you say you noticed a more touristy vibe than a bunch of nitty regs at Seneca? I am hoping things are nice due to summertime tourists. I am staying there so it seems better than heading across the boarder to play Fallsview.

Seneca is generally a rock garden although on weekends you will see a few more wild players here and there.

It's all about table selection.

If you're looking for the best games, then Seneca is your worst choice of the three.

I played the 1/2 200 max which was a bit more rock-y.

Play the 100 max and I bet you will get more action.

Yea that's what I heard as well.

Do they spread any other games on the weekends? Maybe some O8?
How's the action in the limit games?
