Why is his name Gramma? I always thought that was weird.

That wasn't the assumption, that's why it's dumb.

Yes. You get away with it. Ask Chino Rheem and Erick Lindgren.

Sure, Grama was KGB's "partner", but I'm assuming that KGB losing $30-40K to Mike doesn't affect Grama's money at all.

And he seemed to like Mike, or at least didn't really WANT to kill/beat him.
I wondered the same thing, and have concluded that Gramma is a smart guy - his boss KGB is pissed off and embarrassed, so by reflex, Gramma is those things too. It's a survival mechanism.

I was thinking because he bought Worm's debt, which was like 10k. Now he's out the 10k he invested in Worm, plus the juice he was gonna make all the money on.

He is out the $15K he could have gotten, but I think he still profited from the deal.

Gramma said two lines when he was talking to Worm in the bathroom:
1) "Instead of $15K spread over 5 guys, you owe $25K to me."
2) "I got a real sweet deal, 30 cents on the dollar. Seems like there's not a lot of faith in you in the business community".

So I'm guessing he bought Worm's debt for $4500 ($15K * 0.3) and he already got $10K from him in the bathroom.
