Just got back from four day trip to Vegas. Went with wife and kids. Stayed at the MGM with a hotel room booked through the poker room. Did most of my play at MGM. Got there most mornings at around 9 am. Usually one or at the most two games going. More tables got going as the day went on. Good balance of tourists and regulars. Took a break for lunch, played an afternoon session, took a break for dinner and played an evening session – that was the schedule for most days.
Made one trip to Aria while wife and kids wondered through the Crystal mall. Got there at 11:00 am and not one game going in the entire room at Aria, I sat down at a table and helped get a game up and running. We started out four handed and the table filled up over the next hour. Wife comes and gets me, we leave after an hour and half of play – up a $100 for the short session.
Made a quick foray into planet Hollywood while family walked the mall that surrounds the casino, lost a hundred, but the good news was I got to watch a great game on the overhead TV – Duke and Butler.
Overall a great trip, looking forward to going back in July
For those who are interested in stats – played 45.9 hours and cleared $1381
Matty - breaking the day into three sessions was largely driven by the presence of my kids. But it did give me a mental breather, and chance to eat and re-engage in normal life. Left to myself, I can easily sit at a table for way to long. I'm going back in a couple months and looking forward to it.
