No love for Amanda Leatherman?

DN up to his old tricks asking Amanda who's sexier Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather. I swear the guy is at least bi-curious...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Seeing how Daniel starts acting "ethnic" with his accent and slang when there's a black person at the table is just painful. There could have been some unaired talk that lead to it, but when he asked the LC who he thought the best rapper was, the dude looked a little offended IMO. Why not ask him who his favorite indie rock band or jazz musician. Lol at Drake.

I honestly hate DN and everything he does, except for him going after Annie Duke.

Why do TV networks want to split their audiences in half? You see it constantly like where they'll put arrested development right up against curb your enthusiam ensuring that the 3% of people in the US who like non-******ed comedies are split down the middle when they could air it against any regular run of the mill sitcom any time of the week. Now you have your daily low budget late night poker show and you want to split that audience in half - how many people can there be watching poker in this timeslot?

The level of play is surprisingly atrocious so far but I guess that can be entertaining in its own way. The loose cannon doesn't seem to have any sort of grasp on how to play poker let alone how to adjust to the specific situation he's in. It's sort of funny to see them all obviously humor him and act like they're on his side, the way you'd treat a guy who sat in your 1-2nl game who's playing poker for the first time.

I guess the way the preview hand in that other thread went down makes a little more sense as far as everyone's reaction, since the game is so informal and overly friendly.

Is Daniel N trying to talk like a black man....WTF

Hi Everyone,

I haven't had a chance to read through both threads yet, but as an FYI you can see all the hands and stats at the below link...

http://thebiggame.pokerstars.net/statistics/

You can watch video for any and all of the 150 hands played out for that session!

For now, the first three episodes are online and hands 1 - 85 can be viewed.

We appreciate the feedback and our TV people are following all of the threads and taking notes for future episodes

Thanks for your comments,

Neil

OK, I was lurking until I read this....

Neil,

1) will there continue to be changes and improvements as you go?
2) how many episodes are in the can already?

I'm enjoying the show, the format and the challenge faced to the amateur.

they have 150 hands to try to get as much as possible, clearly this week's participant is playing a little too fishy and not adjusting, but I'm quite sure some of our resident NL25 haters would soil themselves in this position.

-------

CLIFFS on the 2 threads: There seems to be a lot of nit picking, pettiness, and childish criticisms.

I love when uNL grinders critique the play of players playing 250BB+ at NL40000

Haha for some reason I loved it when Tony G just came up with the 'you're a disgrace to the game' line. It was like he was kinda trying to keep himself in check and then just let out a classic cheeky line that he knew would rile Phil up.

And lol at PH minraising T9o, checking top pair and then complaining about being beaten by a bad hand?!?!

so true

That's actually really cool that you guys are putting the unshown hands up there. It's always hard to get a feel for the flow in the game when you don't know how many hands aren't being shown and what happens, so it's cool to be able to see a session in its entirety.

As long as they keep putting her in short skirts, I'm happy.

I believe they're currently adding commentary to week 3 this week, there's either 6 or 7 weeks of episodes already taped.

Man this wiggins guys is **** stupid.

Playing tight in his situation is really dumb.

Showing the other players that you are playing tight is even dumber. He needs a donk image so he can get paid off on his one big hand, or just gamble and hope to get lucky.

What he's doing is hopeless. what a wasted opportunity.

Btw there's another thread covering this week's episodes where the hand discussion is happening in case you guys didn't notice.
06-17-2010 , 11:56 AM
And finally someone raises Hellmuth on the river when he makes his little 15% pot bet. Over and over I've watched these TV pros just call and let him win with Ace high and 3rd pair and ****.

Good for you DN, finally stepping up.
06-17-2010 , 12:15 PM
omfg, haven't read through the thread yet but LOL makeup!!! just started watching episode one and everyone except hellmuth looks like a barbie doll wtf is this. tony g has more lipstick on than a san francisco butt parade! lololololo
06-17-2010 , 12:16 PM
Why do we need two threads?
06-17-2010 , 12:22 PM
Oh and my advice to the Pokerstars rep: Amanda Leatherman is a cute girl, not a big boobs, barbie doll. Have her dressed more casually with less makeup imo. The miniskirt, highheels and makeup overload make her look like a prostitute. I love Amanda, but this look isn't working...
Also, let her sit on the couch instead of the couch arms, she just looks uncomfortable..

Other than that, I think you guys have got a really good product. Keep it up!!
06-17-2010 , 12:49 PM
Im just curious. Im not a racist or anything. But do you HAVE to talk like that just because you are black? You just wanna puke in your suit.
06-17-2010 , 02:03 PM
That's kinda like asking a southerner/New Yorker/California surfer dude if they have to talk the way they do. It's just the way he talks it's not like he is forcing it. Now if he was a white suburban guy that would be a different situation.

Also never say I'm not Racist before a sentence. And no I don't think your racist.

Fair enough. Still, cant watch the cashgame because of this dude, its so embarrassing. And when he sucks out three times he does a little shoulder dance or something.
06-17-2010 , 05:13 PM
This thread was started well before the show aired on TV. However, this thread will get locked at the end of the week.
06-17-2010 , 05:17 PM
Wigging is perfect for TV - horrible play combined with a lot of luck.
06-17-2010 , 05:22 PM
so if the LC busts do they continue five handed?

thats right, you have to quantify it with, "I have a black friend"
