It's not going to get any new poker players b/c the only ppl who are going to watch it over football and anything else on TV are the ones who... wait nobody is going to watch this.

The players suck. The celebrities suck. DN is okay. The format sucks. Such a huge waste. Not entertaining at all from any perspective.

According to DN's blog they grabbed 15% of the football watchers,which is a big number.

huge breakthrough for Poker in general and online exposure for PS, my local (Ft Lauderdale) Fox channel is airing it (watching it now) and peeps that enjoy game shows may also get into Poker - yippee millions of new fish!

That's probably because some stations on FOX don't even air the 4:00 game and the CBS game was the Jets/Bills...

I REALLY hope your right. But this show was just TERRIBLE!

I fear that these brutal circus events and commercials are only making casual/new players sick of poker, or turned off.

And whats with Vanessa Rousso's awkward sideways smile, dont get me wrong, she is hot, but that stupid pose she always does is just brutal.

Sorry to go off course. But I guess what I am trying to say is that the "pros" they are choosing to represnt and market our game, in my opinion, are not helping attract new players, just annoy viewers.

Disagree. Even though this is geared towards non-players, as an avid one I kind of enjoyed it. It's flashy and I can definitely see how non-pro's could like this. I don't think there has been any shows like this (maybe the WPT kind of) with this style of presentation where fans would get "sick of poker" from watching it.

And you can't call Vanessa hot, while ripping her smile. That's her face. It's not good.

I think having SUPER hot girls like Jayde Nicole playing poker and saying how she plays a lot online etc. is never a bad thing for any type of player pro or not. Obviously it's not about the poker aspect as much as the gameshow aspect. They start with like 30BBs and blinds increase every 5 min or something ridic like that.

Was a good watch. Not really anything special, but some good hands none the less.
