Kane is awesome. Kenna James, on the other hand, is literally providing the worst poker strat that I've ever heard on a paid stream.

wtf this guy talking about tells. how did they let a guy like this in a wsop stream?

I quite like the contrast between a feel player and a math player in the booth together. I'm probably biased though because I've played a bunch with Kenna and he's a really good guy.

They saw his work on The Ultimate Poker Challenge and Poker Royale in 2006.

Presumably, with the 10k 6 max starting, everyone they would normally ask is busy.

They really like streaming the 6 max events.

First time I've seen the players on a WSOP stream head off set to discuss a deal.
I'm surprised the floor allowed them to do it. Whenever it happens in the DDS, they insist on keeping the clock running.

As a recreational soccer viewer I get to watch UEFA Euro & FIFA World Cup for free. Why would poker be any different?

E: Haven't watched anything after SHRB. Too much effort in setting up an account, and the schedule seems weak af. I play NL 6-max & HU pretty much every day and tournaments every now and then. The last thing I wanna do is tune-in day after day for NLHE with sub-par commentary and sub-par players. Last year's WSOP streams were awesome with commentary and schedule. I find more intriguing to watch games I don't play on daily basis (e.g. anything on 8-Game rotation). However I do understand PokerGo aims for casual players, and Idk if their survey said casual players want 100% NL? However their business model seems contradictory... If you have a paid subscription model I'm guessing they target hardcore fans like me, who would expect heterogeneous content. If they target recreational players who are just getting into the game they should keep the stream free. Who's gonna pay $10 to watch some game they even know rules for?

little to no sponsorship, it speaks to the state of poker that it isn't free, thats what anyone who likes watching poker should be concerned about (imho).

If internet poker was legal everywhere and governments didn't fragment and/or destroy the market, it would make a big difference but I'm afraid we'll never see the glory days were poker shows were everywhere, ads were on TV and Cardplayer was almost 1/2 inch thick from all the ads.

~sigh~

Yeah that was pretty bad. Neither announcer said what would make a chop.

What a strange argument. Do you get to watch Mayweather fights for free?

Here in the UK, the Euros and World Cup are 'protected events'. The government stop them being on pay tv.

How is it entitled to want the biggest poker event of the year broadcast well?

People aren't complaining because it costs money, people are complaining because it costs money and it's ****.

It's mind blowing that people can defend anyone that buys the exclusive broadcast rights to something and only shows a small fraction of it.

I watched every minute of stream last year, I couldn't give half a **** about it this year. It's not cause my bank account says $3550 instead of $3560 lmfao.

No, but we are able to buy them. If the people who had the exclusive rights to broadcast the Mayweather fight blacked it out and instead broadcast a fight between two 65 year olds (like PokerGo did with the Seniors event instead of the 2-7 lowball), people would rightfully complain. Are you a paid member of PokerGo? I fail to understand how you can keep trying to defend the indefensible.

Wait... did you just compare 2-7 lowball to McGregor/Mayweather?

They never advertised the Mayweather fight though, did they. The two 65 year olds were always scheduled.

Again, I would love to watch the same amount of coverage as before but I realise you can't always have everything.
