I actually thought it was ok, and the wife liked they way the showed all of the outs a guy had when all in. There is definitely a casual fan that'll like the show, not sure if the "rush the table" is the way to make it better though, seems kinda dumb. Also putting anything on tv fridays at 9:30 is death. Fox did the same thing with Prison Break in it's final season, moved it from monday to friday and then were shocked that nobody was watching

the demographics are all wrong for airing it on NBC....some 50 yr old housewife isnt gonna care too much for poker.

they should make a show and air it on spike tv....that is the perfect demographics for poker. i still think HSP should get off GSN and move to spike.

Even FSN's Poker Dome was better than this.

I'd rather see "Site Wars" where the poker sites (PS, FTP, UB, Cake, etc.) each present a team made up of a pro or two and an amateur or two, and they compete in a series of matches (HU, 6MAX, HOSE) for bragging rights.

Denise Pernula should be the host, with James Woods doing the color..

Too bad each site is probably too anal to risk competing against rivals.

Yea the lack of consistency of the show pretty much sucks.

This might actually work. They could use dramatic lighting a music.
And maybe a naked cocktail waitress or 2 (Hot of course) forcing drinks on the contestants. So they get drunk talk smack and play crazy.

Now that would be entertaining.

the 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' atmosphere would make the show much better imo.

And they could have 'lifelines' where they can ask another Ace what to do with a tough decision. Eg Chris Ferguson check-shoves the donkish contestant on the turn, and the donk can show another pro his hand and talk about what best to do, which would give the viewers some insight into strategy.

They need to have a trap door under the chair of the amateur. When he loses, it opens and he disappears into the floor. Then they can change the name to "Face the Ace Hole," a sure winner!

oh paper it sounds good, but its just boring to watch some random guy play, i think they need to give more money away also cause its unlikely anyone wins 3 in a row especially if they know the variance

FTP is now doing "Face the Pro", limited to certain countries in Europe, where the winner plays Gus Hansen for 100k Euros:
