Probably not, but I'm comfortable with the floor exercising his or her discretion there. I don't have much pity if the 4 Bud guy gets his hand killed after saying, "Fold!" but a good floor should consider obvious intent or lack of intent.

I'm not vehement about killing the guy's hand. I'm vehement -- and you don't seem to disagree -- that the dealer should be clarifying the action for the less-experienced.

The dealer should, but the dealer's inaction should never change what a ruling should be. The dealer provides a service for the players, but the players have no recourse if the dealer fails to provide that service.

That scenario didn't take place.

It was a one-off where the guy made a mistake.

I did not say that scenario took place, I said it very well could in a similar situation and similar situations should be ruled upon similarly.

Trust me, this wasn't a "one-off where the guy made a mistake". This was a regular of the cardroom, whom the other regulars dislike because he pulls this kind of BS. I don't know if he had done this exact move before or not, but he definately didn't make a "mistake". He either did it in hopes of making more money on the hand (a severe angle), or just did it to try to piss people off; he did other things just to piss people off as well.

Yeah, that is what I figured when the third guy in the hand didn't raise a stink, so it was time for me to fold...
