Okay, rather than bog you down with details of my entire trip to AC this weekend, I'll give you one story of interest. I have another, but I'll probably post that separately.

Friday I played in the 11:00 Showboat Tourney. Later stages of the tourney, down to about 15 guys.

Struggling to stay afloat, down to 8,700 chips with blinds at 800/1600. Basically done and already looking to buy into the 2:00 tournament. UTG I pick up Ace 5 off and shove. Guy on the cutoff (with 7,300 left) calls with Ace 4. Promptly rivers the wheel.

Now, about to be blinded out with 1,400. Two guys call, button raises. Two limpers fold. Button turns over AQ, I (have not looked) flip 7 2 off. Promptly hit two pair to quadruple up with 5,600. Just delaying the inevitable, I think. Short time later I pick up pocket 10s and triple up. Manage to stay alive until final table.

Few minutes in, I pick up K9o on the button (blinds at 1000/2000). Raise to 5,000. Two callers. Flop is KJ7 rainbow. Two checks, I shove my last 12,000 in. BB calls with AJ, and I hold up to more than double up to about 37,000.

From there I rolled. Didn't lose a significant pot the rest of the way, built a stack up to 175,000 and ended up chopping for 1st/2nd to pocket $725.

Cliff Notes: OP about to be blinded out with 7 2 rallies to win at Showboat. Proceeds to drink face off at Irish Pub.

Haha you came to my table to tell someone the story about the 72 while I was dealing. How did you like our tourneys? Hope you like our room, see ya again soon.

Yeah. I'm sure I blathered that story to anyone that would listen and some who wouldn't. I blame beer.

Really like the new room, although having a clear view of the beach from the table will probably get me in trouble at some point.

Definately can be a distraction....yesterday (sunday) nice out, two women in shorts (early 20's) end up standing in front of the window (they are tinted so as to be mirror like from the boardwalk), they are facing the water (ie butts to the window) and proceed to bend over to fix shoes or whatever.....

Lets just say the moon made an appearance during the day, and one was wearing very nice pink lace undergarments....

Should be a nice summer!

Sounds nice lol. My question is, what casino/poker room has a window in it? Does it have a clock also?

I must say, we thought the windows were going to be an issue but people like them more than they dont by a large margin. The only - is that some tables have a glare and certain seats cant see the board well.

I so have to check this new room out! I agree, I think the windows are a great idea. Gives me something else to look at when I am not in a hand besides watching the TV or wondering in daydream land.

Nice run! The showboat runs decent tourneys even though I always do lousy in them and have swithced to only playing cash games. But, when I did play touneys, that's where I played.

When did they move the poker room? I'll have to come check it out
