half way through the episode and gawd ferguson is annoying the hell out of me with his incredible nittyness and his crazy excuses about not having time to prepare strategy for 72. and then being stubborn and weird about it.

wtf chris.

How many times have you seen a tournament or cash game with both Phil Hellmuth and Chris Ferguson at it and the person you're complaining about being the most annoying, stubborn, and nitty player in the world isn't Hellmuth?

For me, 0.

Guess Fergie's just showing his true colors.

No seriously...i hate him more than anything. I couldnt believe what i saw. He must have been the loneliest kid in school. Such a freak. How can you play pokerz for so many years and have no gamble in you. no words left. Words can not deliver the hate i feel...

Go Mikey!! **** FT-Sponsorship!!! Give the man what he deserves.....(Korfman style)

I wish when I flopped a nut flush the villain betting into me had a smaller flush

But yeah, totally agree with raising there. Most hands which fold won't give you much action later anyway, and you get a tonne more action from the ones which can pay you off.

He can ignore the 2-7 completely, and all his value bets or bluff catching hands will have increased value because other players might pull moves with 2-7 or suspect that he is. And of all the players, he has the best chance of pulling off a 2-7 bluff if he decides to, because he has the tightest image.

Plus, what he did was just make himself unlikable and get himself an even nittier image.

I thought he was smarter than that.
I don't think it's that simple. People like Antonio and Matusow are better at value-betting mediocre hands, which pay them off more with the 27 factor. Ferguson is only going to get the extra value with the hands he would actually value bet (which is pretty narrow).

ya but who cares if its +/- EV for his game.. the point is that he's playing on national television (2/7 is definitely good for tv, especially with such a tight lineup) and he's probably worth close to a hundred million dollars (so making a big deal out of 500 is just being really cheap)

im pretty sure when ivey refused the 7-2 game part of his reasoning was they they were not playing it for enough money to make it worth it for him.

that said, i think its absolutely ludicrous that fergusen wouldnt play.

Gotta love the 60 seconds it takes for Ferg to check, tilits me and I'm not even at the table laboring through each deliberate street.

Like the Mouths' reply regarding Esfandiaris' pink shirt and if he'd be able to wear it saying basically "I wouldn't even want to".

Only real watchable part of this episode was Leanne

i have nothing but respect for chris ferguson. he has very strong values and will not waver from them.

9 out of ten of you guys bashing him would be the first ones to piss every last cent of your money away should you ever come into it -- and or end up destroying yourselves with drugs.

aint nothing wrong with being conservative and responsible and sticking to your core values

There was actually of lot of aggressive play this episode. Tons of light 3bets and 4bets, you could tell Brandon Adams was taking advantage of the the tight table. Even Ferguson made a nice play. The only difference between this and HSP is a more solid playing style and lower blind levels, the poker is actually pretty good in my opinion.

If Phil/Mike bet the $20,000 why wouldn't Phil walk up $1?
$20,000 would probably be a decent amount compared to table winnings here.

I guess that's why they're renegotiating, but still.
I'd stick Mike with the $20,000

Wow. That was horrible. I had low expectations going in, but I didn't expect to have to listen to a 40-minute douche-off amongst a bunch of C-listers. Who gives a **** about the 2-7 game? Make a decision one way or the other and move on to some other topic instead of swinging your little dicks around. Same thing w Hellmuth vs. Antonio rehashing stupid hands from 3 years ago and sniping at each other the whole time.

And BA, is there any way possible to get LESS value out of your flopped nut flush? I almost crapped my pants when he bet 1K on the river into a known huge nit who's going to spaz there close to never. Otherwise, everyone else seemed to have a random action generator running whenever it got around to them. Nothing made much sense, and no hands are worth discussing.

I'm a TV cash game junkie but this is ridiculous. I'm out.
