They should have had a surprise visit to the table by durrrr w/o telling the other players beforehand. You would see a collective tightening of their sphincters on camera as he entered the room.

Chris Ferguson.

-folds 77 preflop in cash game
-won't play 2-7 because he needs to do the algorhythms of the strategic numerical systems of 2-7 poker on Excel 2007...then agrees to do it for $200 a hand
-wears those dumb sunglasses and won't cut his hair

Where's Viffer. Get this guy off.

But at least Ivey stood up for himself and said "No" basically. Jesus just keeps waffling, saying that he doesn't really understand it, hasn't strategized, hasn't ever played it.

If he would have just said No, he'd be better off.

I don't see how playing 7/2 is bad for Chris's game, it seems like a win/win

Life is like that! Certain people can get away with saying and doing things that a different personality could never get away with.

Ferguson probably should have just agreed to the bet, as we all probably have a different opinion of this man now!

I always thought Chris was a 'barrel of fun'.....lol

That was painful. Mori's choice of table line-ups for PAD generally are pretty awful and this proved to be no exception.

Chris didnt wanted to play 2-7 and thats it he said no just like Ivey did and there should be no more talk about 2-7 what the other players are doing is insult to Chris and they should just shut a hell up and play poker.

hilarious first ep and only that Qd stopped the first blood already. And Adams said he would raise there most the time too. Damn unlucky. But Ferg prob flats the flop raise anyway.

Adams has impressed so far. I hope we see Hellmuth switch it up severely against Antonio. Come on, man, use that tight image! Don't wait for this trapping crap. A check raise on the turn with that A/Q woulda been quite interesting seeing as how I don't think Antonio has a flush there all that often at all and Phil has all of them in the deck. Just stop with this checking in the dark crap..

I didn't really like how Mike and Antonio pressured Chris into playing 2-7. Props to Phil for standing up for him(sort of). I can't really blame Antonio because although he was pressuring Chris, it should be +ev for Antonio in that lineup imo. That being said, it may be -ev for Chris to do it, so I don't think it's bad for him to be such a nit either.

I cracked up when Matusow said his whole roll is on the table

Nejad was on fire too as per usual.

wow lowest stake cash game with the worst lineup. and they're less than 3xing. maybe if theres an AA v AA hand there'll be a 10k pot lol

would be fun to add like durrr or ivey in place of maybe antonio and watch everyone get crushed hard

jesus f christ, chris must be worth bazillions and wont play a straightforward game for 500 but will for 200, unreal.

chris is a huge nit for not playing but they really went a bit too far with pressuring him

but the main thing i take from this episode-

XPERT FLOP SLOWPLAY BRANDON ADAMS

"uhh, i usually raise that flop, but uhh, you know, mike was behind"

you could see it tilted him a little and he was embarassed

Definitely. I vaguely remember a game where Sheiky made a comment about the game being too slow and was just abused for it. Then a bit later, Doyle did the same and everyone STFUd and played about 3 times quicker.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS EPISODE!

Honestly though, i've just wasted 45 minutes of my life (this isn't some ***** joke btw). Don't even bother. I vote the title of this thread should be changed to give people who haven't seen it a chance to save themselves.

-Half the episode was the table berating Chris Ferguson for not playing 2-7 (out of line imo) they're just attacking him for his nittieness when they should look at themselves.

-Matusow making fun of Hellmuth overrated imo ( if you want to see it go to the final 3 mins or so)

-It was just nittieness central. Viffer was waiting backstage to get on the show if someone left but never made it on and in next weeks preview i didn't see Viff either. The producers should use some commonsense and try to have got Viffer a seat. I'm sure everyone would have given him an automatic seat before some sort of seat draw. They'd think his aggression would help their nittieness to profit.

Jesus, Jesus is the stupidest smart man who played poker on TV. Doesn't he realize that the image hit from being that tight of a sphincter on the table is going to cost him much more than the pennies he'd be able to pinch?

This is happening constantly among the "second tier" of top players. It's simple projection. These guys know that they are much more ________ than Ivey, Durrr etc. In fact, they are probably the second most ________ at the table. The solution is to attack the guy who is the most ________. Fill in blank with nitty, out of depth in cash games, can't beat the game at all any more etc. as appropriate.

How come when Phil Ivey says he doesn't want to play 27 in HSP, everyone shuts the **** off and we're done with it... ?

Seriously, I want an answer, I really cannot figure out why.

Guess he just commands more respect from the other players. Plus they know he isn't doing it because he's a nit. Maybe Ivey would do it if it were for more money or he didn't have a stick up his arse like he did during that particular taping. Then again, he was leading up to that divorce during that time too.
