Kinda sad because the guy obviously didnt know how to play the game (shouldnt have been playing the stakes) at a 5/10 PLO8 game call a preflop raise, re-raise, 4 bet, and a couple all-ins with 4 to the royal in his hand, flopped the 5th and stacked instantly when I flopped a boat/nut low.

He went as far as to call the floor and threaten to engage the gaming commision for '******' him over....

To this day its the largest Omaha pot I remember. ($7600ish)

That's impossible.

Also, the 5th to the royal would be another high card.

I was just about to post this but I'm glad I didn't have to.

Also if there were more than 2 all ins pot should have been significantly larger than 7600 unless people were super short. In a 5/10 game with 4 hole cards people around here tend to buy in for 4k.

Whole story makes no sense.

NLH, a massive pot on the flop where 2 players get allin 100+BB deep with also some dead money in the pot, flop is Ts Js 4x. The third guy hold KsQs and after thinking for over a minute he folds and says he made a very tough and very good fold. Later that night he gets a low OESD+FD on the turn this time instead of the flop and his opponent goes allin, again, very deep but only one guy instead of two guy with practically no dead money in the pot. He insta calls saying it is a good call.

Hero obviously needs to draw to something, but the board doesn't need to run out. V could has KQJT against hero's AA34. A22 in V's suit gives hero a full house with nut low draw. Any card between 5-8 gives hero nut low, he doesn't need a wheel...

The absurdity isn't playing wide to cultivate a LAG image. The absurdity is telling someone at the table what he is doing.

Right, except he said he flopped a boat/nut low, not that the board ran out that way

Nits ITT. He flopped a boat and the nut low draw. Nazi's pointing out the obvious is overrated and a waste of space ITT.

Still not possible if the absurd thinker also "completed" his royal flush on the flop.

My apologies guys, I was tired and not paying a ton of attention when I originally posted that. I remember the and as if it were yesterday.

To clarify, I made the boat and was drawing to the nut low:
Hero: AA24 double suited (spades and diamonds)
Flop A of hearts (completing his royal with T-K h in hand) 3 and 4 (don't remember these two suits).

The play was not particularly deep as the table was a $2k buy-in (don't know if that was cap but seemed to be what most bought in with, some with only 1k) and had just opened about 10 mins earlier.

Hope that clears it up a little, just my amusing contribution to the thread.

Don't worry about it somethingrandom, you're mainly going to deal with trolls in this section of 2p2, they try to make others look dumb or make others feel bad for their own self fulfillment? Idk why they do it, but it just comes down to the saying "trolls gonna troll"

Why not?

Absurd thinker holds KQJ10
OP holds AA34
Flop A22

OP flops boat and nut low draw. AT flops the 5th to his royal.

At 1-2 NL, the player on my right who had missed her blinds posted a $5 red chip. I have plenty of whites, so I reach over to make change and save the dealer the trouble, but she says "No!" pretty loud so I back off and shrug.

After the hand she semi-apologized and said it was superstition, but her tone was as if I tried to kiss her without approval.

A very good rule of thumb: if you aren't friends with the player, never touch another player's chips.

And that doesn't come down to superstition.

Huh? Making change for someone is not the same thing as reaching into their stack. Not even close.

Agreed. It is very rare that making change for somebody causes a ruckus. It does happen though, and it's usually some weird superstition or other kind of irrational thinking.

I was right in saying its possible, just not sure the OP was on that same page.

I also hate it when people grab a green chip that was placed for a BB to make change without asking me first. And I never change it for anyone without getting their quick "ok" first as well.

I think the correct thing to do is to look at them with the change in your hand first and say "want change"? rather than just grabbing the chip.

I wasn't saying you were wrong. Your explanation was pretty much exactly what I said a few posts before. I think we both understood him as obviously flopping a boat with the nut low draw. But as obvious as it should be, I just think it's funny that people still don't get it, like the "boat" with AA24 on the A45 flop.
