Disappointing IMO.

Lindgren (replaced right at end by Aba).

Blinds 300-600 (100 ante).

Ivey, PA bought in for $200k, rest for $100k.

Antonius seemed to play pretty tight.

Jesus is an annoying nit who takes too long over every decision.

Tony G c/c turn and river with 89 on a 5699 board or similar vs Jesus's A9 (he'd pre-flop raised). I think that it was pretty evident that Jesus wouldnt fire 3 barrells without a monster. Tony G didnt even seem happy to make river call. He knew he was beat.

Bloch played terrible IMO.

Ivey called off a large turn C/R AI from Tony G w TT on a:

4 5 7 J board or similar.

Ivey's turn bet was ~ $20k I think. C/R AI was to ~ $130k.

Tony G had 57o which held.

Tony G called off a river bet w QQ on

9TJ26: board or similar vs Eric's KQ, after he'd lead every street. V poor call IMO.

Haha what is going on with tuchman's accent? It starts alternating between american and attempted cockey and at times sounds like ross out of friends trying to be a british lecturer.

I used to love watching live at the bike though shame they didn't get both dave and bart to do this

Also i watched this for 45 mins before realising aba is not on this episode

It was really disappointing.. why Oh why do they turn down the mic's on the players, we cannot hear any chat at all????

right around 21:30 during the AK/AT hand with ivey/lindgren, patrik gets up to use the bathroom and forgets to turn his mic off and you can hear him peeing in the background a la naked gun

Im surprised that everyone is disappointed, I thought it was pretty good.

Yeah fwiw I quite enjoyed it.

I think it was meh at best. Firstly, WTF is up with the tutorials/handranking bits. How do they not understand that someone who doesn't know poker is not going to be interested in the show.

And secondly, a leaderboard? Sure, give a quick rundown of how everybody's been doing ONCE at the end of the show or something. They were doing it like 10 times.

Thirdly, the interviews with Ivey, especially the second one, couldn't someone go tell the guy his questions suck ass and aren't relavent? "So, when are we going to see the Phil Ivey we're used to?" After PI's down 150k and interview guy doesn't understand how that's possible. "Are you not playing good?" "Have you been unlucky?"

I did enjoy the interview bit with Andy Bloch (spelling?) where he explains that in a cashgame you have to think a bit ahead and not just play pre-flop poker since the game plays deeper than a donkament. I believe they aired that right after Andy 4-bet shoves with AK over Ivey's perfectly normal sized 3-bet (lol donkaments?)

in essence its a table full of nits. cunningham, ferguson, bloch, tony g, seidel, etc,etc. There is a reason that these havent been on hsp and that's because it would be boring. Full tilt should stake matusow into the game, and maybe got a couple more internet players.

these shows really need to put the mics on the left channel, and commentary on right, it's not like this is a radio program where every little detail needs to be explained.

I really don't see how Ivey can call there with TT. He must not know that Tony G is a massive massive nit.

I think they kind of played Aba. The commentators made him out to be a donk, and i thought mentioning his downswing was inappropriate.

The production was rather bad all over. Not only could we hear hardly any table talk, but on-screen information about pot size and bet sizes was also seriously lacking, making it really hard to follow the action in detail at times.

Too bad, as the line-up was interesting, and the game plays big enough that it doesn't look small compared to HSP (same blind sizes, but no antes and rarely any straddling). Plus, 8 players is better than full-ring with 10.

Yeah, that was just unbelievable, and quite funny.

But how could the producer *possibly* miss this in the post-processing stage!? They probably spend a zillion setting up this game, flying in the players, paying the crew, etc etc, and the production is this crappy -- just unbelievable.

I like the player you call nit. Cunningham and even Tony played great. i would like to see you play at that table
