Been to the M and they have a great poker room and best sports book in Vegas. Trying to get a $10/20 game going there or even a 2/5 button straddle up to $100. Anyone in the area interested, would like to make it a weekly game Hit me back

Red Rock already gets 2/5 going most days. They also have a 3/5 game with a mandatory button straddle between $10-$100.

If players are going to go off-strip, I think Red Rock has better game selection.

The two casinos couldn't be further apart from one another. I'm not local but I'd be willing to be that people from Henderson/South Vegas would be much more likely to go to the M than drive 30 plus minutes to Red Rock if the games at the M are the limits they want to play.

The room at the M is popular(more popular than it can handle-and I'm talking all day, pretty much any day. The drive to RR kinda sucks, but GVR is much closer. Never played at GVR, but the place is awesome & has to have at least a few good tables going.

Red Rocks is always busy with nothing but old time regulars, so if you are fish hunting, avoid it like the plague. The rocks don't just exist is the name of the place.

GVR is very nice room, but not as soft as the strip, more purple haired older folks that are tiite

Every time I've played at Red Rock it's been a fishfest filled with old-time regulars.

M to Red Rock is not 30 minutes. It's at most a 20 minute drive. I-15 to 215. It an easy drive. If you can't travel a few extra minutes for a good card game...

23 minutes (21.1 miles) per google maps.

might not be 30 minutes but probably isn't 20 either. split the difference and add a red light or two and we're probably talking 25 minutes. close enough.

and if I'm going to spend 25 minutes in Vegas driving to a good card game, I'm hitting the strip where the donk tourists are anyway and not heading to a locals room.

GVR has a very nice room, but games over 1/2nl just don't seem to stay running most days.

Interesting. I was there at 2pm one day and it was packed with a list of old timers who I figured knew what they were doing. Maybe I should have gotten on that list and taken a shot.

p.s. South Point is about half way down to the M on LVBLD, and really a pretty lame poker room, but you can make a few bucks if you can stand the place.

(EDIT-Usually only after 5 pm)

I just figured lots of HS players live in Southern Highlands and Henderson and just would like to get a $10+ game going rather than driving to Bellagio.
Plus the casino is beautiful with the best buffet in town!

Yes the M is nice, but you think a bunch of local HS players would rather play each other at the M or at one of the places on the strip where the games will include many more drunks and loose tourists? Even if the M is closer, seems kinda like a bad idea imo.
