yeah, I do that.....let's say that in a 1/2 game I want to raise to $12, & I have 3 $5 chips in my hand.

I'll look at the dealer, clearly say "Twelve" & make sure they acknowledge that it's 12 before I drop the chips from my hand.

i hate phrasing questions with raise/check/fold/allin its just pointlessly opening a door to problems.

if its a new player and they dont think like most non-angling experienced players like me, the DEALER should pay attention. if joenoob1 gets checked to and he waits a long time and goes" uhhh...cheeck???" the dealer should 100% of the time say "yes he checked to you" or some variation of that.

its always so bad how little attention some dealers have to the game. its literally your only job. still i feel at the same time its the players job to do their actions correctly, unless its a complete noob like above. And theres tons of noobs at 1/2.
