Yeah, I'm not sure what's so great about "this guy was behind the whole time and got lucky then did a massive slowroll". Hero didn't outplay anybody.

My fault for not explaining too well, normally 'Hero' wouldn't slowroll OR take so long to think on the flop or river. I talked to him about this hand later that week and he said he was 90% sure the guy flopped the nuts and intentionally did it so _if_ he hit he would make the slow-roll move and tilt the Villian. Also forgetting the "just to p*ss off the other player" part, considering the stack sizes and implied odds it was still correct to call all the way.

Wow, so the guy was willing to invest almost 200BBs "just in case" he hit a 10-outer? I love him. Where does he play?

In this case it was invest between 150 - 200 BB (~50 on flop, ~125 on turn) with 10 outs and the other player sitting with between 500 - 600 BB. Have I not understood something as that looks like good odds to me?
