I do not play tournaments but they fill up pretty regularly.
I will never play on the electronic tables for a number of reasons and none of them involve conspiracy theories. The bad beat is a double bad beat if you know how they go about collecting that money. For every dollar that goes towards the bad beat which is supposed to be separate, 50% of that the house takes in addition to the rake already taken per hand. This is per Glen. I know it is a fact as he told me in confidence. That is pretty sick. That 50% is not used for backup jackpots it is totes. So .50 cents of every BBJ dollar goes to rake.
Secondly the PokerTech guy although I am sure he means well is a board member for the casino. If they truly cared about poker players and profitability they would eliminate 4 to 8 of these tables as they aren't used 90% of the work week.
Add 4 to 8 more tables with dealers. Get more players in and increase your rake. It makes no sense to me. That's a lot of space they are wasting for tournaments that are run one time a day.
But hey thats just me.
Cash games are loaded with regulars. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are the nights that you will see the most players. Friday-Saturday it is consistently 3 or 4 tables. During the week it dries up and often running 1-2 games.
All games are 1/2 with $100 min $500 max buyin for live dealers. $10 food comp card with 4 hours of play.
Electronic cash is rarely played now that the beat hit but Friday and Saturday nite you will get 1 table going.
Glen had promised to move the bad beat over to the live cash games but that never happened. He talks alot but rarely every does much but talks. Also there used to be a $500 dollar overlay on the Saturday tournament that is now gone.
Dealers are fairly competent. You will get the good and the bad like any other place. My least favorite is Walter and Cat. Walter talks to much and doesn't deal (you can do both at the same time). Cat doesn't pay attention to anything that is going on. I've repeated raises 5x her in one hand and she still didn't get it right. No discipline. My final wish is that they get to keep their own tips but it is still community. I love tipping good dealers. Kudos to Nate, Drew, Jen, Frank, ect ect
On a side note there is a hot black girl that works there named Maxi that I would love to tap
She also makes great desserts. Cheers
how do you get the 10$ comp? i thought it was a strict $1/hour comp :O...sicko if you manage to get that.
