NL $50/$300 $1/$2: Yesterday I was playing a hand where there was a raise to $10 pre-flop with (1) caller when it got to me. I re-raised to $25. The action folded around to the original raiser at which time the dealer put out the flop (without the original raiser or the original caller having a chance to act).

What should be done here?

Spoiler:
The floor was called. The ruling was to shuffle the flop back into the deck with the exception of the burn card which was left out and the new flop would not have a burn card (as the original card that was burned would stand as the burn card). The other two players were then given the chance to act, before the new flop was run.

Floor got it right. Reshuffle and re deal the flop it it's put out before action is complete.

Leave the burn card out since you will be spreading the slop as soon as the shuffle and cut are done, there is no need to burn a card.

What's wrong with the solution the floor came up with? Typically, posts like this one are due to the fact that you lost the hand, but would have liked the other flop better. If so, KITN for you. If not, KITN for you anyway, just to be on the safe side.

Not sure why you posted this one, as it seems pretty clear cut. There was an error, the floor made a reasonable decision which fixed the problem, end of story.

I didn't have any issue with the floor decision. There were other players at the table that were arguing about the burn card being reshuffled into the deck. I thought it was a fair decision. I was just curious if there was any other opinion out there. PS: I made a pot sized bet on the flop and the other two folded, one complaining that the burn card should have been reshuffled. So an assumption KITN has been issued...

I left open the possibility that there was no "hidden agenda" but figured to issue a KITN either way, just in case

I would leave the burn card out. But if the floor had it shuffled back in, I wouldn't care. It doesn't make any difference as to whether the sun will come up in the morning. What makes a difference is that the floor knows how to handle situations like this, and does so in a fair and consistent manner.

How about a KITN for the dealer?
Pull in the bets before bringing the flop.

Dealers are human. They make mistakes too, it's bound to happen. Floor dealt with it quite well.

ProTip: poker players will complain about anything.

This topic sadly hits way too close to home, in what was by far not my finest hour... in a room with a BBJ, and a lot of big betting preflop, I put out the flop too early: AAA.

I nearly crapped myself. Thankfully, they didn't have jackpot hands, and my internal organs did not suffer any knife wounds.
