Sit 1: This may or may not be favoritism. The broken table must be seated first. Once you choose the "Good Table" and the other two guys decide they don't want to play, absent player X, you should have been told to sit at the "Bad table" with two open seats.

It is obvious that the procedure in this room is lax. Supervision was poor. And this led to two out of the three players leaving and you being dealt two hands at the "wrong" table.

It may be that all three of you would have left if the first one to sit had to sit at the bad table. It is an awkward situation for the house. The best way to resolve this IMO would be to give cards to all three players and let the player with the high card choose first. Admittedly all three players might choose to leave rather than have to sit at the "bad" table but it would avoid a situation like this.

If you look at this from Player X's perspective, you (OP) chose to sit at a table you shouldn't have been allowed to sit at. And if Player X complained then I think the Floor has to rule in his favor regardless of bias. Now if this happened at FW you would have been allowed to stay because their house rule is that if you are dealt a hand at a table then you have a right to the seat and you would be able to argue that the Floor told the three of you to fill the seats without giving you specific instructions.

Sit 2: You basically screwed up. If you sign up before you sit down, you get the seat. Rule of thumb in any room is never sit at a table without a Floor either being present or telling you to sit. The Dealer should have told you to wait for the Floor, but not saying anything seems to be par for the course at this room. Player X took advantage of you failing to "protect your hand/action" by signing up but that may or may not have anything to do with the Floor.

Overall I think you have an opportunity to learn from this. If you take things personally it will keep you from seeing how you can improve and/or protect yourself in the future.

If you choose to make this personal my guess is that you will suffer because the Floor in question will take it as an unjustified assault and may very well hold it against you. Even in the worst case where it was favoritism you won't win by making it personal. If you don't make it personal and instead make it about procedure, you can help the room improve their procedure while protecting your future action.

Well done. That move sounds like the nuts.
