anyone out there got a favorite seat at the casino cardroom (standard 9 player + dealer setup)? it's a little dependent on the room but mark me down for the 9 spot (immediate right of the dealer) - easy to pick up cards, can use your chips to block your hole card checks and usually able to stretch out pretty far.

Anyone else have a fav spot at the table, or dont care where they sit?

4 seat.

I can handle 4, 5, or 6 since they are all front and center and allow you to see everyone. #5 isn't ideal, because I don't like having people so close to me directly left and right. #6 has the automatic shuffler right in front of it.

#4 gives me plenty of space by being close to a "corner" of the table and also lets me discretely look at my cards on the left side of my chips and easily flick them into the muck.

The 9 (or 10 seat if in a tournament) is my favorite as well. Better than the 1 seat, since my arm doesn't hit the dealer. I have great visibility on the board and all the players, except the 1 seat

I usually play the daily tournaments here in Vegas (Venetian, Aria, Orleans), so they're usually 10 handed. I HATE the 4 or 7 seat, but always seem to get the "random" assignment of either the 4 or 7. Hurts my back, having to sit at a weird angle, or just being crowded by my neighbors. Fine with any other seat, but prefer the 2 or 9.

+1. Don't like 1 and 9 and have often trouble reading the board from 2/3 and 7/8.

I get in trouble in seat one. The dealer blocks the view of seats 9 and ten, and I have had problems with it. Two-eight do not bother me. I used to think 4,5,6 was better but don't care. Anything but seat one. Ten is slightly better than one to me but would rather be one seat away from the dealer.

the seat with weak players to my left and lag's to my right. Hey, I'm there to make money not get comfortable :-O

When I started I liked the ends... 2/3 or 7/8. Now I prefer 1/9 to be invisible to half the table (all in my head I know).

4-6 can EAD.

1 is the worst for me. Don't like having to look over the dealer's shoulder to see if it's my turn to act after seat 10 acts.

I like 5 the best, as it gives me a great view of everyone at the table

Where I play there are ten seats and I like 3, 4, 7, and 8 because I watch the other players even when I'm not in the hand and those are the best seats for this in my opinion.

4 , 5 and 6 are my choices due to some minor limited vision and hearing problems. If I get seated elsewhere, I get a seat change button right away.
