ESPN3 to offer streaming of WSOP ME Final table ESPN3 to offer streaming of WSOP ME Final table

As part of the mention of registering for press credentials for the Nov. 9 final table, there's this mention about WSOP coverage:

Quote:
Final Table Streaming Video - Both Saturday and Monday's play will be streamed in near real time via ESPN3 (sans hole cards).
If it's the same as what happened in Europe, WSOP.com will handle the streaming for those outside the US and other countries that don't have ESPN3.

What about those inside US that don't have ESPN3? will it be blocked?

They should have done this last year with Ivey.
10-07-2010 , 03:52 PM
Why no hole cards? Didn't they have them for the WSOPE ME?

ya 5 hours. which was kinda pointless since they had so much trouble getting the cards right. should have just streamed it realtime without holecards.

good news for poker fans at least. too bad they didn't do this sooner.

You know that ESPN3 is a web site and not a TV channel, right?

But you need to have a certain ISP or else you can't access it. You know that, right?
10-07-2010 , 04:32 PM
^^ if you have verizon or comcast it should work

just about every ISP is named

Except Time Warner...

Who recently signed a deal to offer espn3.com...

But who are apparently rolling it out gradually.

The way I run, I'll have full access the day after the ME.

I think I heard Adam Schoenfeld say on the Pokercast that he would be doing commentary for this.

Hopefully Bart and David will play a part too, they were fantastic for the WSOPE final table.

OMG this is awesome - and unexpected - news!

Let's just hope they have decent commentators tho. No hour-long stories about Cory Zeidman at the dentist tyvm

I'm so happy that ESPN decided to do this....I wish they would allow hole cards to be seen. Make it a 3 hour delay....You guys have seen these webcasts with and without hole cards - I honestly think both have merit, but at the end of the day, I'd rather have a delay and see the cards. What are your thoughts?

As for the love above...Thanks! Bart and I appreciate it.

well played ESPN

If somebody puts a good stream up i will transfer a few bucks on full tilt, i'm sure others would do the same.

espn3 is not available for me from my isp here in the us

Great news! As an european and with the time difference etc. it doesn't really matter anyway if I am 5 hours behind the action or not, just have to dodge NVG and pokernews on that day

At the WSOPE main event, the recording, commenting and the hole cards were done on the fly, but just put out there with a delay, that explains some minor mix ups with the hole cards, but it was a very good stream with good commentary, hopefully Bart and Tuck will do it again.

US people without access to espn were able to watch the WSOPE main event stream, so I guess it will be possible for you, again. Just check the old WSOPE main event stream thread, you should get some info there how to do it.

you do realize that you posted that in a thread about the broadcasting of the whole final table in "near real time"?

hole cards suck, way more exciting to watch when you only see the cards when they are tabled.
