I've been checking on their website and trying to find out anything about the WSOP but it doesn't look like anything is set up yet I'm afraid. I've also been trying to see if there's any NFL coverage but it looks slim too :\.
They might sort something out later on when the channel is fully operating and got a decent number of subscriptions, for now though it looks like nothings happening.
Anyone know if there are poker shows available anywhere on Virgin Media?
I know there are 2/3 channels on Sky, can't see any on VM
I only watch Dog the Bounty Hunter right now, which is best show ever - but I could use a change.
There was a lot of poker after midnight on CNBC (Channel #613) like the Aussie Millions and European Cash Game '08 etc; but since like last week no coverage has been on. Before every weekday had late night poker on so it looks like they've taken it off the schedule :$.
Bravo sometimes has a bit of the older WSOP's main events on occasionally, like weekdays on afternoons.
Slim pickings indeed. No idea what ESPN are doing with the WSOP for UK TV as to whether they're eventually going to show it on their own channel or allow another channel like say, Bravo to screen it instead.
OT: Sky Sports has the NFL rights for now (after the 2010/11 season it's up for grabs but Sky Sports are probably the most likely to win 'em back). Not sure who has the British free-to-air terrestrial TV coverage of the Superbowl though.
I am not sure if ESPN UK will carry their coverage of the WSOP, but as for poker on sky you could check out channel 166 (info TV). It is a lot of repeats but tonight it had WSOPE 2008, old WPT and WSOP 2006 - it is like this most every night.
