Drunken slow roll because, why not! Drunken slow roll because, why not!

I'm doing the voice to text thing from Ocean Resort in Atlantic City so there may be certain imperfections. In honor of what just happened, I'm not even going to edit anything.

It was a frustrating session and I was down a couple hundred, losing most of it to a boat over both. Whatever.

Too drunk moose show up and sit on either side of me. They're both splashy but the guy on my immediate right is shoving all in with a full stack without looking practically every hand.

He shoves all-in while in the big blind and the dealer just kind of shrugs. Under the gun, I see Kings. I shove all-in and figure I'll let the dealer figure it out.

Tiny shortstack girl has forty bucks and also goes all-in. Don't care, still looking for a double up. It holds around to him and I asked if that was binding and the dealer makes a motion that it kind of is. Fine.

I flip up my Kings, shortstack girl flips up a Sate, drunk doesn't flip. Ford flops three hearts with an Ace and an eight. Turn is the king. The King of Hearts. River is another heart.

Mister blind all in player doesn't flip his cards over. I know I'm beat with just about any handy could flip over, or we're all chopping it up if he doesn't win. Regardless, I just want to get it over with.

Drunk dude refuses to flip his cards over. Finally after about a minute, the floor is summoned and she and he start going at it. I just want somebody to flip over his ****ing cards so I could see what I lost two and I can get the **** out of this poker room.

Finally, after literally about 3 minutes, he finally manages to flip over his cards. 54 off suit. The four is a heart.

I can handle a bad beat losing to some drunk knowing I got it in good. I can handle a lot of things. But having to sit there with a useless set of Kings knowing Nat when he finally decided to quit being a drunk that I was going to probably lose this hand, but being unable to just leave the room until that happened, was almost assuredly the most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with in a poker room. And I ****ing deal in them sometimes.

Rant over.

Haha, in reading it over the voice to text was pretty good, but there's some pretty amusing situations where it wasn't.

So there is a flush on the board, yes?

So there was either the 2 or 3 of hearts on the board and you lost to a slightly higher flush?

dealer should just muck his hand if he doesnt flip over within 20sec. easy as that.

Tackle the guy, sure, but never flip his hand up.

95 times out of 100 you are happy to have this kind of guy at the table.
You put up with his antics because you envision his bankroll migrating to your stack.

After the hand was finally over, did you ask the Floor to kick him out?

I was exceedingly happy to have him and his pal at the table. I would have re-bought except my ATM limit had been met so I couldn't get any more cash.

No, I didn't ask the floor to 86 him. I just left. Honestly, asking the dude to leave as I'm walking out the door at best hurts the rest of the table who would like to get his money, and at worst makes it look like I'm a sore loser. There was honestly nothing to do at that point other than just leave.

I just wish I would have been able to leave several minutes earlier.

What I like about the story is voice to text rendering 'two' as "too", but 'to' as "two".

Update: Played some more this evening. A guy at my table was in the room last night, though at the next table. He recalled the carnage and controversy - and apparently the drunk guy who was not looking at his cards was felting everyone in sight. I was not even his first victim and evidently not his last.

Poker gods were kind to me, possibly to make up for the debacle the night before: Left up $699 plus another $100 for winning a High Hand. For a nit like me, that's a solid win and it turned a $400 loss into a $400 win.

(The Original Post was *not* an elaborate set-up for this brag, I assure you all!)
