This is a good idea in theory and it's what I do when I'm in front of a computer.
In practice, when I'm on my phone, unfortunately there's no way to move posts. So what I do is...
--> If it's an issue where there's interesting/important posts that could spark good discussion and/or I have not specifically warned the posters or thread involved about the violation, I wait until I'm in front of a computer and then move all the related posts.
--> If it's an issue where the posts aren't particularly interesting or useful or I've specifically warned the involved posters or thread, I delete.
In the instance Zippy brought up, I'd posted a warning in the thread recently...

...so I went with deletions as opposed to waiting.
Also, it doesn't look like anyone's thought it important/useful enough to bring up in the tipping containment thread--my guess is it's really just another excuse to not tip, i.e., "cheapskates gonna cheapskate," so not much to discuss--but if anyone does want to discuss it they're of course welcome to post there as Lattimer said.
