This past fourth of July weekend i went with a friend to a poker room whose name i will not declare.
We ended up playing all night, in the morning something happened that straight up pissed me off.
A father and son were on the opposite end of me, and i was sitting next to my friend and two players i knew. We all were suspecting the two of telling hands and etc. The son was in a hand with my friend me and another player. The son had like 100 dollars lets say, well my friend and another player ended up betting enough to shove his stack in, he calls, and on the river he then bets, he was hiding a decent amount of chips in his hand, which my friend and other opponent said they did not see, the dealer said he saw them, but thats bull and the player ended up getting paid for those chips. Well we all let it go, but a lady told the manager she saw the father hand chips while we were talking to the son against the rail out of our view. They ended up looking at the cameras and seeing it all take place!
The manager though only put a person to watch us play, but nothing done to the father and or son, this is because the father is a regular...
I know a few of both the managers and dealers, i never said anything or complained, but i feel i should of and the chips should be returned to my friend... My friend was taken away told of what happened, hes nice and said its ok just watch them, after we left my friend told me, and i was just wishing hed of told me, I know its to late, but how do yall feel, shouldnt the managers of done something... Is it ok for a regular to live above the rules...

I feel that you need to take writing lessons.

Oh and I also feel that you should have talked to them directly about it the moment you suspected anything.

Post the place's name.

Post the name of the casino (unless its an underground club, and if it was that's cost of doing buisness).

Otherwise, 100% the money should have been returned and they should have been shown the door.
I saw a regular busted for stealing chips at my local casino. It was a pretty big suprise to everyone. He was a real cool older guy. No mercy was shown though. He was escorted out and 86'ed.

Being a devil's advocate, but if the OP explained to the floor as coherently as he wrote in his post, I'm not so sure the floor was wrong.

Did the father give the son the chips before the hand started? While that's ratholing, it's a bit less serious than violating table stakes during the hand.

And, what did the dealer say after the woman claimed the father gave the son the chips? He says son saw them, so how did they resolve that?

Granted, sounds shady, and I'm leaning towards believing the OP, but I don't see a clear-cut arguement that they violated table stakes during the hand.

I'm with you. I feel there's a decent chance that the floor couldn't understand what he was talking trying to say.

Op said nothing was done to the father since he is a regular, OP also said that he knows several floors and dealers.

Doesn't that make the OP a regular too?

OP also said the manager looked at the video and they saw the chips passed to the son.
How does he know?

It's my understanding that while video will be reviewed if need be, it is NEVER shown to the players, only the result of the review MAY be explained.

However several other posters have mentioned the fact that the OP is poolu written and it may simply be a case of misundersanding what the OP is trying to say.

I take it OP didn't know until after they left the club.
