Hey guys, sorry to waste forum space with this simple and useless post, but can someone help me out with a YouTube link to the hand on high stakes poker where galfond 3bets chan with 95s, I think a k9x flop checks through, and on the safe runout chan c/r turn and vbets riv big and gets called? A friend and I were talking about that hand, but I can't find it and it's bugging me.

Thanks!

If we're linking to hard-to-find hands, anybody got one to the Heartland event about ten years ago where the fat, obnoxious cigar chewing dood from Chicago got up and ran to the rail high-fiving before being told he'd lost (I think to a higher straight)?

I had that one on my DVR for years but it casper'd.

I think this is the event you're talking about: http://www.hptpoker.com/eventinfo.php?yid=2008&eid=32

I can't find the video.

That's it. Thanks much. - My bad tho, thought he was from Chicago.

"For the majority of the final table, play was dominated by local favorite Raid “Ray” Putrus, who eliminated four players cruising to a huge chip lead. Cheered on by his buddies, an unlit cigar ever present between his teeth, Putrus looked to be on his way to a coronation right up until the very end. Buxman meanwhile, stayed patient and avoided big pots against the chip leader and found himself head up against Putrus trailing 6 to 1 in chips.

The key hand for Buxman occurred early in heads up play. Both players hit a miracle gut shot straight draw on the river and got it all in, only Buxman’s straight was one card higher and he doubled up, making it a horse race again. Everything went his way after that and his patience paid off, making him the newest HPT champion."

That sentence in no way does this hand justice - it was one of the great moments in televised poker. Was glad to see Buxman win it all.

Pretty cool hand. I think Galfond is thinking about PLO lines where you would c/r combo draws on the turn to get max fold equity in Chan's spot.

Looks god awful considering that Chan was probably the biggest nit that sat on this table.
