Can someone explain to me how the drop works? Is it a standard system or does it vary by casino/stakes?
FWIW, I was playing $1-2-3 (button $1, sb $2, bb $3).
I just want to get an idea of how beatable this rake is, and how I need to adjust my play/buy in amount/table selection because of it.

California rake is set regardless of pot size. It varies by house. Most are 4+1. LA casinos are typically 5+1 and $1 or 2 even if you don't see a flop.

Might be dated, but gives the low down on stakes and drops at a lot of Southern Cal casinos.
