Just curious as to how you guys select the rooms you play in.

Obviously there may not be one single answer, and it may come down to a combination of factors that lead you to play in the poker room that you do.

Is the game there super soft?
Casino / poker room is close by or maybe the only one?
Poker room has a very nice atmosphere?
Drink service is good?
Dealers are friendly and on-point?
Mood dependent?
Good comps?

Obviously for the vegas players, there are many casinos to choose from, and i'm just curious to know what determines where you play / why you choose to play at a specific room as opposed to others.

Discuss!

I've got 6 B&M casinos within an 1/2 to 1 hour drive (1 across the US/CAN border, yuck), + at least another 6 charity rooms between 5-45min.

I choose where I play based on a combination of staff competence (faster dealers --> more hands per session), poker room cleanliness and atmosphere, and which restaurants I feel like going to for dinner. The player level in all the rooms is pretty comperable for the most part. Granted, one room may be tighter than another, but they're all pretty exploitable.
So in a good week I may play in three different rooms.

Lowest population of nits/grinders.

Same goes for table selection within a given room.

Probably in that ^ order... I put softness(or quality of play) at the bottom of the list because to be honest, I absolutely prefer high quality competition over wacky super soft players.

Rake, game selection, distance traveled. Personally I could care less about food service and imo dealers tend to average out at all rooms(some slow, some fast). I want a good game with low rake. Promotions can play a roll if they are super juicy.

For instance Lucky Chances has rack attack and aces cracked. I know that draws alot of players during those hours.
